Islam; On Tolerance & Peace

Four African Christians were deported after being arrested back on June 9 for “preaching to Muslims, planting churches and gathering ladies and gentlemen together for prayer” according to Masai Wendewesen, an Ethiopian Christian working in Saudi Arabia.

The four church leaders were beaten and imprisoned for more than a month in torturous conditions. Why the beatings and deportation? Because leaving Islam, or conversion to another faith, is “apostasy” in Saudi Arabia, it’s a crime punishable by death.

On June 9, the four Christians were arrested at their Friday morning worship service in the Al-Rowaise district in Jeddah.

They were transferred the next day to a police station where they were beaten and forced to sign a 10-page document.

“We don’t know what [it was] because it was all in Arabic,” Wendewesen said. “We didn’t ask them, because we were afraid for our lives.”

Saudi officials claim that Christians are free to worship; but only in the privacy of their own homes. The Saudi kingdom has refused to grant foreign Christian workers the right to build churches. In fact, Saudi Defense minister Prince Sultan has said that: “There are no churches [in Saudi Arabia]. Not in the past, the present or future.”

But these four were actually pretty fortunate.

They were allowed to live.

Unlike Fouad Fawzy Tawfik, a Christian shoemaker in Cairo, Egypt. Tawfik was murdered by Hossam Hafez Ahmad Attay, a Muslim, simply for being a Christian. Attay was supposedly angered by a joke that Tawfik had made a few days prior. Tawfik made an offhand remark that “tomorrow America is going to invade Egypt and kill everyone in it.”

The killer, Hossam Hafez Ahmad Attaya, visited his cousin’s shoe shop, located very near Fouad Tawfik’s own store, and pretended to be interested in buying shoes. The Muslim had his cousin distract Tawfik then cowardly attacked him with a concealed knife.

The eight-inch blade sank into the Christian’s left lung and stomach, he died minutes after being stabbed, from loss of blood. He never made it to the hospital.

Behold; the Religion Of Peace.

Steve Centanni & Olaf Wiig Are Released

I woke up this morning to the great news that Fox News journalists Steve Centanni, 60, and Olaf Wiig, 36, were released by their terrorist kidnappers. Even though I have never met any of the reporters, I have watched Fox News for several years and it begins to feel as if you actually do know some of them personally. And so I actually worried about these two men while they were being held.

The Fox News story quoted Centanni as saying; "We were forced to convert to Islam at gunpoint. Don't get me wrong here. I have the highest respect for Islam, and I learned a lot of good things about it, but it was something we felt we had to do because they had the guns, and we didn't know what the hell was going on."

Centanni seems to be a nice guy, so I’m not surprised when he said he has the “highest respect for Islam”. But I wonder how anyone can have any respect at all for the “religion of peace” when you’re forced to “convert” to it or die?

Centanni also said that “the Palestinian people are very beautiful and kind hearted". I suppose you may find Palestinian individuals that are kind hearted, but I also remember the video of everyday Palestinians dancing and cheering in the streets of Gaza and the West Bank on 9/11/01, celebrating the devastation of the World Trade Center and the tremendous hole in the Pentagon. They danced and cheered as thousands of innocent Americans died horrible deaths at the hands of their Muslim martyrs.
So, while I’m relieved that Centanni and Wiig are now safe, I fail to see the beauty and kind heartedness in those folks.

Dignity For Dogs!

Some folks just can’t refrain from humiliating their pet dogs. You’ve seen the reindeer antlers that some people put on their dogs heads at Christmas time, and the tux’s and bridal gowns that some people force on their pooches when they throw a canine wedding.

Now, there’s the Puppy Purse.

C’mon, let them keep their dignity.

What Will It Take?

What Will It Take?

A Northwest Airlines DC-10 was diverted and escorted to the Amsterdam airport by F-16 fighter planes in yet another “incident” of airline passengers suspiciously behaving like terrorists about to do something. Northwest Airlines Flight 42 was headed to Mumbai, India. Twelve passengers were arrested by Dutch authorities. Though a Police spokesman, Rob Staenacker said he could not disclose the nationalities of the people arrested, an American passenger on the airliner said they appeared to be South Asian. (Muslim, maybe?) The twelve passengers were observed by crew members of the plane and air marshals attempting to use cell phones and passing cell phones among themselves while the plane was taking off, according to an anonymous U.S. official.

A Reuters account said the 12 will be interrogated by Dutch police.

But the “escort” of the Northwest plane back to Amsterdam and the suspicious behavior of the twelve passengers still did not lead to a heightening of security at Schiphol, Europe’s 4th busiest passenger hub.

On Monday, August 21, a Debbie Schlussel post pointed out that the F.B.I. downplayed the suspicious and disruptive behavior of a passenger aboard a Delta Airlines flight from Atlanta, Georgia to San Antonio, Texas.

The Associated Press reported;

“A passenger who was detained after flight attendants said he tampered with a bathroom smoke detector wasn't arrested because he was determined through searches and interviews to be "not suspicious at all," the FBI said Sunday.”

According to FBI spokesman Erik Vasys "He (the passenger) was cooperative during the interview". Delta Flight attendants reported he had been disruptive in the bathroom and had spent an extended amount of time in the lavatory, authorities also said ceiling tiles had been moved. Vasys also said that it appeared someone tried to disconnect the smoke detector.

Vasys went on to say; "It wound up being the flight attendant's word against a passenger's, and this guy turned out to be not suspicious at all."

Sooo, the F.B.I. takes the word of a passenger who just happens to be acting strangely and suspiciously, over the word of the flight crew who have been trained to recognize suspicious behavior.

Okay.

Then on August 17, 2006, Debbie also wrote about airline passenger Catherine Mayo, the woman responsible for the diverting of a London to Washington flight which was diverted to Boston because of the Mayo’s behavior. Her behavior included passing several notes to crew members, urinating on the cabin floor and making comments that the crew believed were references to al-Qaida and the 9-11 attacks. It also turns out that Mayo has traveled to Pakistan often, and has a close friend in that nation who is on the no fly list, and not allowed into the United States. Federal agents have also said that Mayo tried to “draw out” the Federal Air Marshal on board the plane. She also smuggled banned items into the airplane in her bag. She also talked about “building a device.”

Sounds like yet another terrorist dry run, testing airline security. And of course the feds are downplaying this incident as the antics of a severely claustrophobic woman.

I don’t think so.

What will it take to get the fed to talk about this stuff seriously?

9-11 part two?

On Torturing Terrorists

The Guardian reports that a lot of the information that led to disrupting the liquid explosives airline terrorist plot in the United Kingdom was probably obtained through torture in Pakistan.

If this is true, and I don’t doubt that it is, rest assured that the ire of liberals will be raised to new levels. We shall soon hear whining howls of self-righteous fury by the likes of Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, etc.

According to the story; “some of it (information of the plot) may have been obtained in ways entirely unacceptable here. In particular Rashid Rauf, a British citizen said to be a prime source of information leading to last week's arrests, has been held without access to full consular or legal assistance.” (Emphasis added)

My question is; if the truth was tortured out of a terrorist, do you really care?

I don’t.

The story went on to quote Asma Jehangir, of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, regarding Rauf being “broken” during interrogation.

“I don't deduce, I know torture, there is simply no doubt about that, no doubt at all.” She said.
Personally, I’m long past my limit of tolerating the “can’t we just get along” mentality of the liberal left. In fact, because of their terrorist enabling sympathies, they are just as disgusting as the Islamo-fascists they support.

Both are a waste of skin and breathable air.

Schlussel, Cavuto, And Muslims In America

Debbie Schlussel, (http://www.debbieschlussel.com/) whose weblog was a 2005 Finalist for the Weblog Awards, is a weblogger extraordinaire, and a person whom I consider to be one of the smartest people I’ve heard and read, is an expert on the Islamic terrorist threat to America and beyond our borders.

Yesterday, August 1, 2006, Debbie appeared on the Fox News television show; “Your World With Niel Cavuto”. In the segment, Cavuto expressed his doubts that Muslims in America want to actually attack or hurt Jews and/or Christians.

I’m disappointed in Neil Cavuto’s attitude that Muslims in America don’t want to attack Jews and Christians.

On July 28 of this year, Naveed Haq, an American Muslim, charged into a Seattle, Washington Jewish center, (Jewish Federation) and shot six women, killing one, simply because he is angry at Jews. Police investigators say the Muslim man found his target on the Internet searching for "something Jewish".

On June 25, 2006, Michael Ford, an American Muslim employed at a Safeway supermarket distribution center in Denver, Colorado walked in to work and shot four co-workers and 1 police officer who had reported to the shooting scene. His younger sister was interviewed by KUSA channel 9 in Denver and said that prior to his shooting spree the shooter claimed that people “were making fun of his religion at work”. She also said: "I don't know what happened to him yesterday (Sunday, June 25th). It was like everything changed. He told me that Allah was going to make a choice and it was going to be good and told me people at his job was (sic) making fun of his religion and he didn't respect that ."

On March 3, 2006, Mohammed Reza Taheri-azar, a Muslim native of Iran but here in the U.S. on a student visa, drove a sport utility vehicle into a large crowd on the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill campus, injuring nine people. Taheri-azar told a 911 dispatcher shortly after the attack that he did it to "punish the government of the United States for actions around the world."

U.N.C. student Lauren Westafer witnessed Taheri-azar’s attack and said; "He was speeding up and swerving to hit people. One person got knocked onto the windshield, and he didn't care."

There are numerous other examples. You just have to pay attention to the news. But sadly, our politically correct news media may mention this type of incident once and then ignore or bury the follow up reports. The television news station that reported Taheri-azar’s attack referred to it as an “accident”, not an attack.

I cannot believe that these are “isolated” incidents, but if you believe they are, then you are naïve to a fault.

But, Islam was founded by a warlord who was also a pedophile. Muhammad continued to be a warlord after the foundation of Islam. With such a beginning what kind of philosophy / theology does anyone think that religion will have? The Quran is jam-packed with references and commands about Muslims killing non-Muslims.

One example: "Fight and slay the Unbelievers wherever ye find them. Seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem of war."

Qur'an, Sura 9:5

Believe me there are PLENTY more of such references in the Book.

Just read it for yourself.
