"We Did A Bad, Bad, Thing..."
WASHINGTON (AP) -- For the first time since last fall's election, Democrats and the Obama administration are backpedaling furiously on an issue easily understood by financially strapped taxpayers: $165 million in bonuses paid out at bailed-out AIG.
Republicans, struggling to regain their political footing, are content to let Democrats try to dig their way out of this mess on their own.

These two paragraphs are from an AP story that appeared on the Drudge Report today. The story went on to say that congressional Democrats professed "shock" at bonus payments to AIG executives after the company received government funds from the Federal bailout.
Shock! Shock and Dismay I tell you!
The Democrats are now rushing to "take back" the ill gotten gains. They have proposed "confiscatory taxes" on the bonuses that have been paid out. The AP article also says that this is "a maneuver that almost surely will be tested in the courts."
Senator Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, is quoated as saying; "It's shocking that they would -- the administration would come to us now and act surprised about these contracts. This administration could have and should have ... prevented this from happening. They had a lot of leverage two weeks ago."
That was the timeframe in which the Treasury Department made an additional $30 billion vailable to AIG.
The Democrats can't blame former President George W. Bush for this one. Nope, they own it all.
Lock Stock and Stink.
From the very beginning of Obama's campaign for President of the United States, Obama surrounded himself with dirty people, (remember Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, Louis Farrakhan?)
After all, when you swim in bullshit, you smell like bullshit.
Well, Barack Hussein Obama sure stinks now.
