A Queer Tale

The Guardian (online) is reporting that a California Court of Appeals has ruled against a homosexual woman who sued to force a fertility clinic to impregnate her via artificial insemination after the doctors refused to do so based on their personal religious beliefs. The appeals court ruled in favor of the doctors because the medical center successfully argued that it had refused to impregnate the homosexual because she is not married.

Lawyers for the homosexual woman claimed that California law prevented her from marrying. This argument is false. The State of California doesn’t prevent the homosexual woman from marrying. She can marry any man she wants. The homosexual woman was impregnated somewhere else and now has a three year old boy.
