John Kerry, Still Stupid After All These Years

Yesterday, December 4, 2005, Senator John F. Kerry appeared on the CBS program “Face The Nation” to discuss the war in Iraq. I am disgusted by a statement that Kerry made to Bob Schieffer, the host and moderator of the show. When asked by Schieffer to respond to a statement by Senator Joe Lieberman about the proper course of action in Iraq, Kerry said in part;

“You've got to begin to transfer authority to the Iraqis. And there is no reason, Bob, that young American soldiers need to be going into the homes of Iraqis in the dead of night, terrorizing kids and children, you know, women.” (emphasis added)

In the course of a few seconds, on national television, John Kerry in his official capacity of United States Senator, equated American soldiers to the very terrorists our kids in uniform are facing on a daily basis in Iraq.

Kerry has a long track record of this kind of hostile rhetoric towards our military. What comes to mind is his infamous Genghis Kahn speech when he spoke to congress many years ago.

Kerry should be publically censured for making this deeply offensive statement. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of heinous insult to our courageous men and women in uniform.

I've sent a letter to both of my U.S. Senators, Senator Bill Frist, as well as my Congressman to complain. Have you?
