Un-Islamic, Immoral and Unconstitutional

According to a news story on The Religion Of Peace web page, in November 2006, the Pakistani government reformed Pakistan’s archaic rape and adultery laws. The old laws were actually Islamic sharia. Sharia was imposed in Pakistan in 1979, and required that there be four male witnesses able to testify before a rape charge could be proved. One female witness or a hundred female witnesses are not sufficient. It has to be 4 guys. Often times, the female victim who is raped is the person punished, usually charged with adultery, and most often the punishment is very severe.

Then the government stepped in and did the unthinkable. Unthinkable to a Muslim that is. The government tried to bring Pakistani rape and adultery laws inline with the modern world.

Horror of horrors. Absurdities of absurdities.

Ten days after the reformation, Islamo-fascists signed a fatwa against the changes. Muslim leaders blasted the reforms as "un-Islamic, immoral and unconstitutional" and evidence of "Western values infiltrating society".

Pakistani Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz caved in to the pressure by the Islamic Nazis and authorized the Pakistan Muslim League to negotiate with Islamic leaders of the Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA), a fundamentalist Islamic opposition alliance, over the modernization of rape laws.

A leader of the MMA said: "The MMA remains absolutely committed to stop these changes, and if necessary to bring about a change in the Government." So of course Islamists would overthrow their government rather than join the civilized world.

Is it any wonder that no civilized nation can deal with or negotiate with such an insane and barbaric culture?
