Rest In Peace Scotty

James Doohan, aka Scotty on Star Trek (the original series) died today, Wednesday, July 20, 2005, of pneumonia and Alzheimer's. He was 85. Scotty played a hero on Star Trek, and he lived a hero's life during World War 2. He landed on Juno Beach on D-Day.
He was shot 6 times by a machine gun. One bullet took off a finger, 4 hit him in the leg, and 1 hit him in the chest. That bullet was stopped by his silver cigarette case. Debbie Schlussel (www.debbieschlussel.com/) has posted a nice write up about Mr. Doohan.
