I just gotta say, with everything else going on in the world, you know, things like islamic terrorism in general, the proliferation of nuclear weapons amongst terrorist nations and islamic terrorist organizations. The Obamaist dismantling of the American economic system, the proposed dismantling of the American Military. You know, little stuff like that.

This headline caught my eye and I just had to read it.

Apparently 3 bisexual men participated in something called the North American Gay Amateur Athletic Alliance Gay Softball World Series.

The 3 guys filed a lawsuit Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Seattle accusing the Alliance of violating Washington State anti-discrimination laws. The men claim that the Alliance “deemed them not gay enough to participate in the series”. But according to Beth Allen, attorney representing the Alliance, the 3 guys "were not discriminated against in any unlawful manner." The attorney went on to say that the Alliance is a private organization and can determine its membership based on its own goals.

Kind of like the Boy Scouts of America is also a private organization, and can determine its membership based on its own goals. And should be free from harassment from thuggish gay rights groups, right?

But I digress.

Apparently the Alliance's rules are such that each softball team can have no more than two heterosexual players and according to the lawsuit, another team accused team D2 of violating that rule.

The three plaintiffs, Steven Apilado, LaRon Charles and Jon Russ all played on the team called D2 that qualified for the 2008 Gay Softball World Series, apparently the other team alleges that Apilado, Charles, and Russ are not gay enough.

It seems that each of the three men were called into a conference room and questioned in front of more than 25 people, they say they were subjected to "personal and intrusive questions" about their sexual attractions and desires to determine if the guys were straight or gay, the lawsuit alleges. It also seems that the Alliance has no category or definition for bisexual or transgender people in its rules, according to the plaintiff's attorney.

The news story says that “At one point during the proceedings, the lawsuit alleges, one of the plaintiffs was told: "This is the Gay World Series, not the Bisexual World Series."

The Alliance has ruled that the three men were "non-gay," stripped the team, D2, of its second-place finish and recommended that the three players be suspended from participating in the World Series for a year, according to the lawsuit.

I have nothing against gays as individuals, I have never discriminated against anyone I perceived to be gay. When I was a manager at a major telephone company I had, at times, gay people reporting to me, they were extremely efficient, highly intelligent and except for one individual, they were excellent at customer service.

But how much gay is enough to be accepted by gays?

A cowboy from Texas attends a social function where Barack Obama is trying to gather support for his Health Plan. Once he discovers the cowboy is from President Bush's home area, he starts to belittle him by talking in a southern drawl and single syllable words.

As he was doing that, he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head. The cowboy says, "Y'all havin' some problem with them circle flies?"

A Campaign Begins Today

America has just witnessed an unconscionable abuse of power. President Obama has betrayed his oath to the nation — rather than bringing us together, ushering in a new kind of politics, and rising above raw partisanship, he has succumbed to the lowest denominator of incumbent power: justifying the means by extolling the ends. He promised better; we deserved better.

CSU Student Board Votes to Retain Concealed Carry

"We wrote this bill because we felt that a student should have the right to self defense on campus. We don't believe that crime stops at a campus' borders."

For several years now, Colorado State University (CSU) in Fort Collins Colorado has allowed, with restrictions, students with valid Carry Concealed Weapon (CCW) permits to carry their handguns on campus. (Note; in Colorado you must be at least 21 years old to be eligible for a handgun permit, and you must have training from a certified instructor.)

In October of this year, the CSU campus police and the university’s president, Dr. Anthony Frank, and other unnamed “public safety experts” have proposed a change in that policy. These anti-gun “experts” think the CSU campus should become a “gun-free zone”, except for “security officers”.

The CSU faculty senate asked for a review of the CSU gun policy sometime last year, because of the April 2007 mass murder at Virginia Tech University. Seung-hui Cho, a senior student at Virginia Tech killed 32 people and wounded at least 25 others in his cowardly rampage.

CSU has never had a violent gun incident on campus.

But despite that significant fact, at Colorado State University, unnamed public safety experts and the university president's cabinet all support a “gun ban”.

The president’s office said it wanted to hear from the student government to get their take on the proposed ban. So, on Wednesday night, the student governing body voted 21-3 in FAVOR of keeping CSU a conceal carry campus. Five student senators were absent or did not vote.

CSU spokesman Brad Bohlander said President Anthony Frank would consider the student leaders' resolution before making a decision. Apparently CSU's Board of Governors will discuss the issue at a meeting Friday morning in the system's Denver office, but the final decision is Frank's.

"Our police can respond to an incident anywhere on the main campus within about two minutes or less, and the highly populated classrooms in about a minute. They have all gone through active shooter training," CSU spokesperson Brad Bohlander said.

Bohlander obviously isn’t aware that at Virginia Tech, at least 30 of the victims were killed within the first 2 minutes of the attack.

After all, when seconds count, the cops are just minutes away.

When police arrive at such a scene it still takes a few minutes to assess and prioritize the situation.

Regarding the university administration, faculty senate and their unnamed experts, I am constantly amazed at the ignorance of the anti-gun nuts regarding the issue of carrying a concealed handgun. Getting your Concealed Handgun Permit (CCW) in Colorado is a lengthy and expensive process. You MUST take a training class that covers the legal aspects of when you can justifiably use deadly force and when you can’t. I have never heard of a CCW class that was under $100.00. In Adams County the combined fees of applying for a CCW permit was $152.00 in 2006, I’m not sure if this has changed. So, you’re looking at a minimum of $252.00 just to obtain the permit. This doesn’t include the cost of the handgun itself.

Before a permit is approved, a background check is performed by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Those individuals seeking a carry permit are decent law abiding citizens who have made a conscience choice to defend themselves with deadly force if necessary, they understand what deadly force is and what the consequences are if they are forced to use it.

Simply put, permit carriers obey the law in Colorado.

After undergoing training and going through the permit process they have become known to the State of Colorado and their home County as a person with the intent to carry a concealed firearm.

They simply aren’t going to start shooting up a campus or a mall. There are a lot of permit holders in Colorado. At sometime or another you have stood or sat next to someone with a permit and a handgun and you never knew it.

Murderous cowards like Cho and don’t forget the Fort Hood islamic terrorist Nidal Hasan, aren’t going to bother with the legal aspects of concealed carry. Yes, I know, in both instances the murderers bought their handguns legally. However, both purchases should not have occurred. They should have been rejected based on the previous actions and history of both of these men. The purchases were allowed because of political correctness in both instances. Cho was deeply disturbed mentally and emotionally, but the powers that be at Virginia Tech knew about his problems, but chose a policy of don’t ask don’t tell. Hasan had already been investigated, somewhat, by the FBI. The Bureau also chose not to ask or tell regarding his islamic, jihadist rants.

These were failures of the vetting process for purchase of firearms. Not failures of the concealed carry permit process.

All of you anti-gun left wing nuts shouldn’t be so ignorantly paranoid. And before you speak out on something try to get your facts straight.

One positive note, in an e-mail statement, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden said his office would "not hold or detain a valid permit holder who violates that policy, nor would his department have anything to do with enforcing that policy."

The good Sheriff also said he did not believe unelected university officials have any authority to enact such a ban, which would "directly counter" Colorado law.

Thanksgiving Proclamations

In November of 1621, the Pilgrims had what is considered to be the first Thanksgiving. On November 29th, 1623, three years after the Pilgrims' arrival and two years after the first Thanksgiving, William Bradford, who was Governor of the Plymouth Colony, made an official proclamation of a day of Thanksgiving:

To all ye Pilgrims:

In as much as the great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetable, and has made the forest to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as he has protected us ..., has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience;

Now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house ..., on Thursday, November 29th, of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty-three, and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on Pilgrim Rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.

On October 21st, 1785, John Langdon, who was the Governor of New Hampshire, a signer of the U.S. Constitution as well as a U.S. Senator, made this official Proclamation for a General Thanksgiving to the State of New Hampshire:

On September 25th, 1789, Congress unanimously approved a resolution asking the President to proclaim a National Day of Thanksgiving and on October 3, 1789, while in New York City, President George Washington shared his Thanksgiving Proclamation:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor...

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November next to be devoted by the people of these United States... that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations , and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions...to promote the knowledge and practice of the true religion and virtue...

On October 3, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a formal proclamation, passed by an Act of Congress initiating the first annual National Day of Thanksgiving.

No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the most high God who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy...

I do, therefore, invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens... [it is] announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord ... It has seemed to me fit and proper that God should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and voice, by the whole American people.

This cartoon just about says it all regarding liberal butt kissing of anything and anyone muslim. To most liberals, the barbaric and archaic religion that is islam is the cat’s meow. (Do muslims consider cats unclean like they consider dogs unclean? Hope so.)

If this were not so, then why is there such a push to call Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood terrorist, “disturbed” and “innocent by reason of insanity.”

He’s not insane, he’s a “radical” muslim. He just did what many “radical” muslims want to do.

This weekend a story broke about a threat to replicate the Fort Hood massacre at Fort Benning in Georgia. A box was found with an anonymous note and package, reported by The Army Times as a box of bullets Thursday morning outside a motor pool area at Fort Benning, located near Columbus, Georgia.

An unnamed witness was quoted as saying to Army Times;

“The note said ‘tell the commanding general to call off all charges or there will be a re-enactment of Fort Hood,’” this was in reference to charges against Nidal Hasan who is charged in the shooting deaths of 13 solders at Fort Hood. Hasan also wounded dozens more.

Hasan’s attack was a most cowardly act, as most islamic terrorist attacks are. They love to attack the unarmed, those who are not expecting an attack.

At any rate, America is woefully unprepared and ripe for more of these islamic terrorist attacks with the likes of Barack Hussein Obama and Eric Holder running the show.

What is a vet?

Some veterans bear visible signs of their service: a missing limb, a jagged scar, a certain look in the eye. Others may carry the evidence inside them: a pin holding a bone together, a piece of shrapnel in the leg or perhaps another sort of inner steel: the soul's ally forged in the refinery of adversity. Except in parades, however, the men and women who have kept America safe wear no badge or emblem. You can't tell a vet just by looking.

What is a vet?

He is the cop on the beat who spent six months in Saudi Arabia sweating two gallons a day making sure the armored personnel carriers didn't run out of fuel.

He is the barroom loudmouth, dumber than five wooden planks, whose overgrown frat-boy behavior is outweighed a hundred times in the cosmic scales by four hours of exquisite bravery near the 38th parallel.

She or he is the nurse who fought against futility and went to sleep sobbing every night for two solid years in Da Nang.

He is the POW who went away one person and came back another or didn't come back AT ALL.

He is the Quantico drill instructor who has never seen combat, but has saved countless lives by turning slouchy, no account rednecks and gang members into Marines, and teaching them to watch each other's backs.

He is the parade riding Legionnaire who pins on his ribbons and medals with a prosthetic hand.

He is the career quartermaster who watches the ribbons and medals pass him by.

He is the three anonymous heroes in The Tomb of the Unknowns, whose presence at the Arlington National Cemetery must forever preserve the memory of all the anonymous heroes whose valor dies unrecognized with them on the battlefield or in the ocean's sunless deep.

He is the old guy bagging groceries at the supermarket-palsied now and aggravatingly slows who helped liberate a Nazi death camp and who wishes all day long that his wife were still alive to hold him when the nightmares come.

He is an ordinary and yet an extraordinary human being, a person who offered some of his life's most vital years in the service of his country, and who sacrificed his ambitions so others would not have to sacrifice theirs.

He is a soldier and a savior and a sword against the darkness, and he is nothing more than the finest, greatest testimony on behalf of the finest, greatest nation ever known.

So remember, each time you see someone who has served our country, just lean over and say "THANK YOU." That's all most people need, and in most cases it will mean more than any medals they could have been awarded or were awarded.

Two little words mean a lot, "THANK YOU."

Nov. 5 (Bloomberg) -- Republican victories in the New Jersey and Virginia gubernatorial races may make some congressional Democrats more leery of backing key elements of President Barack Obama’s agenda because of the political price they could pay, analysts said.

Democrats in competitive House districts, many of them already cautious about Obama’s push to overhaul the U.S. health- care system and curb emissions blamed for global warming, might be more resistant to move ahead on the measures and face attacks from a newly energized Republican Party, the analysts said.

The Nov. 3 election results are “a real warning bell for moderate Democrats,” said Tobe Berkovitz, associate professor of communications at Boston University. “They are not going to think twice about their vote on health care. They’re going to think five times.”

A *Breitbart.com / Associated Press news article* reports that politicians involved in sex scandals that have been the butt of many of David Letterman’s jokes, have actually been pretty sympathetic towards Letterman in light of his own scandal.

The story titled “LETTERMAN THREW SPITBALLS FROM HIS OWN GLASS HOUSE” quotes former Florida Rep. Mark Foley; "I feel sorry for Dave—I take no glee."

South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford said; "Both my thoughts and my prayers are with him," Sanford went on to say; "There's a lot more introspection and soul-searching on the way down than there is on the way up. He can be a better person for it."

Of course it wasn’t right what Foley, Sanford, and Eliot Spitzer, former governor of New York, who was involved in an investigation into a prostitution operation, did.

And yes, they set themselves up for ridicule, and no, I don’t have any sympathy for them. But at least they fessed up to what they have done, and admitted it was wrong. Letterman is still trying to make himself out to be a victim even though it’s his own debauchery he has to account for.

But letterman is now and has always been a hypocritical jackass; and I have never found his “jokes” funny.

Origins Of Halloween

For a proper understanding of the modern American celebration on October 31st, we must look at three early celebrations that have come together to form today's Halloween.

The first of these precursors to Halloween goes all the way back to pre-Christian Ireland and Scotland to a celebration of the Druids or Celtic priests. The Celtic year began on November 1st with the festival of Samhain. On the eve of Samhain, October 31st, laughing bands of young people disguised in grotesque masks carved lanterns from turnips and carried them through the villages. It was sort of a harvest festival, and in addition, it was thought of as a festival of the dead. The druids believed it was on that night when the earth comes into closest contact with the spiritual world; and consequently ghosts, goblins and witches supposedly destroyed crops, killed farm animals and wreaked havoc on the villagers. As these spirits of the dead roamed around, villagers lighted bonfires to either drive them away or to guide the spirits of the dead back to their homes.

The second precursor to Halloween goes back to the Dark Ages in central Europe. There, the Christian church destroyed many of the temples of various pagan gods and goddesses, such as Diana and Apollo. However, this pagan worship was never completely eradicated and took on the form of witchcraft. One of the most important aspects of witchcraft is a number of celebrations each year which are called "Witches' Sabbaths." One of the highest of the Witches' Sabbaths is the High Sabbath or the Black Sabbath of Witches on October 31st. Much of the Halloween folklore of today such as black cats, broomsticks, cauldrons and spells come from the Black Sabbath.

The third precursor to Halloween goes back to the early Roman Catholic Church. The church had appointed certain days to honor each saint and basically ran out of days in the year for all their saints to have a day, so they decided to have one day to remember all the saints. They called it All Saints' Day. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory the third changed All Saints' Day from May 13th to November 1st, and in the year 834 Pope Gregory the fourth extended this celebration to the entire Roman church. This event was called Allhallowmass, and as you might suppose, there was a celebration on the evening before on October 31st, called All Hallow E'en, "all hallow" meaning all of the hallowed ones. As you might guess, the contraction of hallow and e'en is where the word Halloween is derived.

The modern custom of going door to door begging for candy while dressed in costumes called "trick or treating," goes back to the pagan new year's feast in Ireland. The spirits that were thought to throng about the houses of the living were greeted with a banquet. At the end of the feast, villagers disguised as souls of the dead, paraded to the outskirts of the village leading the spirits away. This was done to avoid any calamities the dead might bring. Another way the villagers tried to appease the dead was to set out bowls of fruit and other treats so the spirits would partake of them and leave them in peace. Later when the belief in ghosts and goblins declined, youths dressed up as ghosts and goblins and threatened to play tricks on those who failed to be generous with treats.

The jack-o-lantern, also known as will-o-the-wisp, fox fire and corpse candle, among other things, was believed to be a wandering soul which could not find refuge in either heaven or hell because of a particularly evil deed committed in its lifetime. The Finns believed that it was the soul of a child buried in the forest. A corpse candle is said to be a small flame moving through the air in the dark and is believed by the superstitious to be an omen of the observers imminent death.

According to ancient folklore from many places, a will-o-the-wisp wanders about swamp areas, enticing victims to follow. These strange fires were also known as "foolish fire," because only a fool would follow them. Today's pumpkin face is symbolic of that mocking spirit. It is always wise to look into any customs associated with holidays and be aware of their roots.

For more than an hour, the bipartisan group, which included current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), was given a virtual tour of the CIA's overseas detention sites and the harsh techniques interrogators had devised to try to make their prisoners talk.

Among the techniques described, said two officials present, was waterboarding, a practice that years later would be condemned as torture by Democrats and some Republicans on Capitol Hill. But on that day, no objections were raised. Instead, at least two lawmakers in the room asked the CIA to push harder, two U.S. officials said.

‘The briefer was specifically asked if the methods were tough enough,’ said a U.S. official who witnessed the exchange.”

These two paragraphs are from an AP story that appeared on the Drudge Report today. The story went on to say that congressional Democrats professed "shock" at bonus payments to AIG executives after the company received government funds from the Federal bailout.

The Democrats are now rushing to "take back" the ill gotten gains. They have proposed "confiscatory taxes" on the bonuses that have been paid out. The AP article also says that this is "a maneuver that almost surely will be tested in the courts."

Senator Mitch McConnell, R-Kentucky, is quoated as saying; "It's shocking that they would -- the administration would come to us now and act surprised about these contracts. This administration could have and should have ... prevented this from happening. They had a lot of leverage two weeks ago."

That was the timeframe in which the Treasury Department made an additional $30 billion vailable to AIG.

The Democrats can't blame former President George W. Bush for this one. Nope, they own it all.

Guantánamo detainee resurfaces in terrorist group

The emergence of a former Guantánamo Bay detainee as the deputy leader of Al Qaeda's Yemeni branch has underscored the potential complications in carrying out the executive order that President Barack Obama signed that the detention center be shut down within a year.

In November of 1621, the Pilgrims had what is considered to be the first Thanksgiving. On November 29th, 1623, three years after the Pilgrims' arrival and two years after the first Thanksgiving, William Bradford, who was Governor of the Plymouth Colony, made an official proclamation of a day of Thanksgiving:

To all ye Pilgrims:

In as much as the great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetable, and has made the forest to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as he has protected us ..., has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience;

Now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house ..., on Thursday, November 29th, of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty-three, and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on Pilgrim Rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.

On October 21st, 1785, John Langdon, who was the Governor of New Hampshire, a signer of the U.S. Constitution as well as a U.S. Senator, made this official Proclamation for a General Thanksgiving to the State of New Hampshire:

On September 25th, 1789, Congress unanimously approved a resolution asking the President to proclaim a National Day of Thanksgiving and on October 3, 1789, while in New York City, President George Washington shared his Thanksgiving Proclamation:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor...

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November next to be devoted by the people of these United States... that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations , and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions...to promote the knowledge and practice of the true religion and virtue...

On October 3, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a formal proclamation, passed by an Act of Congress initiating the first annual National Day of Thanksgiving.

No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the most high God who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy...

I do, therefore, invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens... [it is] announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord ... Hussein Obama claims the recently convicted ex-Mayor of Detroit Detroit Mayor Kwame Malik Kilpatrick as a friend of his.

Hussein Obama has promised to spread the wealth around. He has promised to tax more of your hard earned income and give your money to some East Colfax Crack Ho so she can feed her bastard children. Unless she decides to abort the baby instead. Hussein is okay with abortion on demand.

Palin Shows Class & Alcee Hastings Shows His (Racist) Ass

In a panel discussion in Washington D.C. that was sponsored by the National Jewish Democratic Council, Florida Congressman Alcee Hastings, Democrat, said;

"If Sarah Palin isn’t enough of a reason for you to get over whatever your problem is with Barack Obama, then you damn well had better pay attention. Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through.” (Emphasis added)

He went on to say;

"Just like Jews, blacks care about affordable health care, energy independence, and the separation of church and state. And just like blacks, Jews care about equal pay for equal work, investment in alternative energy, and a woman's right to choose."

Hastings statement is of course an insinuation that Sarah Palin is racist and bigoted.

This attack on Palin’s character comes from a man who is a member of the Congressional Black Caucus. The very name of this caucus speaks loudly of the racist nature of its membership. But that is another discussion for another day.

Alcee Hastings attacking Sarah Palin for “totin’ guns and strippin’ moose” is not only bigoted but extremely elitist as well. Sarah Palin isn’t exactly Daisy May from Dogpatch.

But what else can we expect of Hastings? After all, he supports the self anointed messiah, the most elite ass of them all, Barack Hussein Obama.

It’s interesting to me that Hastings has the nerve to question Sarah Palin’s character when his own history is quite a colorful story.

As a federal judge, Alcee Hastings was accused of conspiring to take bribes.

The House Judiciary subcommittee that investigated the allegations unanimously recommended Hastings’ impeachment. The U.S. House of Representatives voted 413 to 3 to impeach Hastings, and the House impeachment managers successfully argued before the Senate that Hastings should be convicted and removed from office.

In 1979 Alcee Hastings was appointed to a federal judgeship by Jimmy Carter. In 1981, two brothers, Frank and Thomas Romano were accused of stealing one million dollars from a union pension fund. They were tried and convicted of the charges. The judge in the case was Alcee Hastings.

While the Romano brothers were waiting to be sentenced, a convicted criminal named William Dredge was facing drug charges and contacted the F.B.I. and alleged that he knew that Alcee Hastings, then a federal judge, had solicited a bribe in an ongoing criminal case.

To make a long story short, a lawyer friend of Hastings named William Borders acted as a go-between to see if the Romano brothers were willing to pay Alcee Hastings $150,000 in exchange for not sentencing them to jail time and have the stolen money, which had been confiscated, returned to the Romano brothers.

Bottom line is the F.B.I. organized a sting operation that reeled in Borders and Hastings.

In pre-set meeting at the Miami airport, an undercover federal agent posing as one of the Romano brothers gave Hastings friend, William Borders a down payment of twenty five thousand dollars. Hastings was then supposed to throw out the forfeiture judgment against the Romanos. After that, the rest of the money, $125,000, would be paid out to Hastings. And according to Byron York’s story;

“Hastings did indeed throw out the judgment, and showed particular interest in making sure it was done quickly. ‘I want the order today,’ he told his law clerk, according to testimony in the case. ‘Sorry for the rush, but the order has to go out today,’ he told his courtroom clerk. Then on October 9, 1981, William Borders was arrested by the feds when he accepted the $125,000 balance of the payoff.

The Byron York / National Review article then goes on to say;

Alan Baron, the lawyer who was hired by the Democratic majority on the House Judiciary Committee to lead the impeachment investigation, later wrote a law review article on the case in which he described Hastings’s actions this way:

Hastings was at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel in Washington, D.C. when he heard the news of Borders’ arrest. His reaction was to leave Washington immediately and return to Florida, thereby avoiding the FBI. He quickly packed a bag and left the hotel without checking out, leaving behind a suit he had sent to the hotel’s valet service. The suit was retrieved by the FBI several days later.

Instead of going to National Airport in Washington, a short drive from his hotel, Hastings took a long, expensive cab ride to Baltimore-Washington airport. Once there, he called his mother in Florida from a pay phone. And then, according to Baron:

Hastings placed a collect call from a second pay phone at the airport to the home of his girlfriend, Patricia Williams. The call lasted a minute or less. Hastings told Williams to call him back at a third pay phone, which she did. He then told her to go to a pay phone and call him again at the same number. About fifteen minutes later, she called Hastings from a pay phone located in a shopping mall near her home. This call lasted a minute or less. Hastings then called her at the mall pay phone from a fourth pay phone at the BWI Airport. This call lasted about four minutes.

After that, Hastings caught a plane south. The FBI found him late that night at his girlfriend’s house.

In December 1981, Hastings was indicted, charged with conspiring with Borders to solicit a bribe from the Romanos. Borders was also indicted. At trial, Hastings pleaded not guilty and claimed Borders was lying about the whole thing. He also claimed the prosecution was racially motivated. He was acquitted; Borders was convicted.

Interesting story, eh?

And after all of this, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi wanted to appoint Hastings as Chair of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence after the Democrats took control of congress in 2006.

When asked about Hastings statements, Sarah Palin’s spokeswoman Maria Comella responded said, "We’re taking a pass."

Hastings did get one thing right when he said; “you damn well had better pay attention” when you vote in November.

Well, on Thursday, September 18, speaking at a women's roundtable about the economy. Michelle Obama said "People shouldn't make a decision this time based on, 'I like that guy' or 'she's cute." after a round of applause and cheers, she added; "And I'm talking about me." So the obvious question is; was she talking about the Republican candidate for Vice President, Sarah Palin?

Obviously, she was. Only a dunce would not know that she was.

But, poor Michelle, she continues to demonstrate that she lacks of a grasp of the facts. Michelle Obama deomstrates this every time she opens her mouth. After all, Palin is on the ticket, Michelle is not. But in all fairness, Michelle is as dumb as a box of rocks.

This is an obvious slam on Sarah Palin, an attempt to imply that Palin is just another pretty face. If you have heard Palin speak, you know how smart she really is. She is intellegent, quick witted, and very articulate. And the Obamas, Michelle and Hussein, I mean Barack, are simply not.

So Michelle let slip, once again, how obtuse and dim witted she really is.

And did I mention that she is also on the butt ugly side?

I mean look at her, and be honest. She looks like a transvestite. She looks like an ugly dude in drag.

Obama: Leave Troops In Iraq, For Now

Barack Hussein Obama has slammed President George W. Bush for quite sometime now for conditions in Iraq and has demanded that President Bush expeditiously withdraw U.S. troops fromThat country.

Well, According to a New York Post story (click here to read it) Barack Hussein Obama tried to persuade, in fact demanded, in private conversations with Iraqi leaders to delay an agreement on a draw-down of the American military presence.

The conversation occurred in July 2008 when Obama, the anointed one, Obama the debutante, Obama the self proclaimed “CITIZEN OF THE WORLD”, came out of his closet to make his foreign policy tour.

The Post story said;

“According to Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari, Obama made his demand for delay a key theme of his discussions with Iraqi leaders in Baghdad in July. (emphasis added)

"He asked why we were not prepared to delay an agreement until after the US elections and the formation of a new administration in Washington," Zebari said in an interview.

Obama insisted that Congress should be involved in negotiations on the status of US troops - and that it was in the interests of both sides not to have an agreement negotiated by the Bush administration in its "state of weakness and political confusion."

Hussein Obama obviously wants to keep as many American troops in Iraq as possible until if and when he wins the election so he can claim credit for bringing American boys and girls home.

If Obama gets his way, can you say; OBAMA LIED, AMERICANS DIED!

The reality is that American troop numbers in Iraq have been reduced from about 171,000 last Fall to about 145,000 today. Why? The surge worked, though it should have been done long ago and many more lives might not have been lost, it still worked.

And Iraqi military forces are stepping up steadily, in capability as well as numbers. They have gone from 115,000 two years ago to 229,000 today. They are also getting better at fighting the enemy.

According to economist.com, (click here) this week the province of Kadisiya, south of Baghdad, became the tenth province out of 18 to transition to Iraqi command from American control.

But Obama is not man enough to admit that the troop surge worked.

Iraqi civilian deaths due to terrorism and hostile action by the enemy are much lower than it once was. Of course, any deaths caused by terrorism are unacceptable, but once source said that terrorism related Iraqi civilian deaths in July were 500 plus. This is down from 3,700 at this time 2 years ago. American military deaths are down as well.

Hussein Obama and his fellow Democrats keep chanting their anti-Bush mantra that the “real war on terrorism” is in Afghanistan.

Well no thanks to Barack Hussein Obama, it looks as if more American troops will be freed up to help decimate if not exterminate the Taliban and al-Qaeda in Afghanistan.

Islamic Ugliness At Swift’s Meat Packing Plant

On Friday, September 5, 2008, 220 to 300 Muslim workers left production lines at the JBS-owned Swift meatpacking plant in Greeley, Colorado.

The walk out was allegedly in protest of plant management's refusal to let muslims take “prayer breaks” in accordance with islamic tradition.

The muslim workers, mostly Somalis, walked off the job mid-shift, about 9:30 p.m. They claim they were told by management they could not take a break at 7:30 p.m., when their 12 hours of daily fasting for Ramadan ended.

“Swift has hired hundreds of Somalis -- as well as Ethiopians, Eritreans, Sudanese, Cameroonians and Congolese -- in the past two years. The company's recent addition of 1,300 jobs on a second shift opened the door to the African refugees who are legally in the United States. The Somalis -- about 1,085 came to Colorado in the last year -- have come to the United States under the United Nations resettlement program for refugees.” (Emphasis Added)

Keep in mind that Somalia is a backward, barbaric, and brutal 3rd world country, a breeding ground for and infested with islamic terrorists that are on a par with al-Qaeda

Apparently these are 1,300 jobs that Americans won’t do, at least according to the advocates of massive immigration from muslim 3rd world, disease ridden countries.

1,085 muslims that we don’t really know what their background is, we don’t know if they support, or participate in terrorism. We don’t know what diseases they’re bringing in, and yet we’re allowing them to handle the meat that you’re serving to your family and children.

But I digress.

On the afternoon of Monday, September 8th, JBS – Swift issued a company statement:

"Friday evening, a group of employees left work without proper authorization. The matter was discussed with their union representatives and the company took appropriate action. JBS Swift desires to accommodate the religious practices of all employees, which includes its Muslim employees, provided it can do so reasonably, safely and without undue burden.

JBS Swift works closely with its employees and their union representatives to accomplish this balance of reasonable accommodation and operational requirements.”

Brianna Castillo, a non-Muslim JBS Swift worker is quoted by the Greeley Tribune as saying; “The Somalis are running our plant. They are telling us what do to."

Joe Rios, another Swift employee, said he felt the Somalis were asking for special treatment and "taking advantage of our kindness" in America. He said "most of us at Swift are Catholic” and observe a month of Lent each year without seeking work concessions based on religion.

According to a statement by company spokeswoman Tamara Smid, “the company desires to accommodate the religious practices of its employees provided it can do so reasonably, safely and without undue burden.”

There had been tension between muslim workers and plant management for about a week after the workers had requested a special break to pray during the holy month of Ramadan.

Swift initially agreed, but then reversed it’s decision and denied the request on Friday, September 5th, apparently after about 150 non-muslim Swift workers protested the company's added religious break-time accommodation of the muslims. The non-muslims said that the accommodation is unfair to workers of other religious beliefs who don't receive similar concessions.

Several muslim employees walked off the job in response. JBS SA fired 100 of the muslim workers when they stayed out on Monday and Tuesday, September 8th & 9th and the Swift management said that violated their union contract and it amounted to an unauthorized work stoppage, so they were dismissed.

JBS Swift released a statement on Wednesday, September 10th after the layoffs were made:

"For the past week, JBS management has met with union leadership and local Muslim leaders to address the timing of our second shift lunch break. As a result of those discussions we adjusted the lunch period by over one hour earlier to address their concerns.

On Friday many employees walked off of the job without proper authorization. This action is a direct violation of our collective bargaining agreement. As a result, Union leadership was notified and employees were told that, pursuant to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement, failure to report to work when recalled would result in their immediate termination. A majority of the suspended employees returned to work last night and those that did not were notified this afternoon of their termination.

JBS is grateful to employ a multi-cultural workforce and works closely with all employees and their union representation to accommodate religious practices in a reasonable, safe, and fair manner to all involved."

I give kudos to the company for their initial reversal of the special treatment to the muslim workers, but after the lawyers at the ACLU get involved, and they will, pressure will be brought to bear by the Federal Government or brainless judges, and I believe the company will cave in and grant the special prayer privileges to the followers of the Religion Of Peace.

3 Americans Killed By An Illegal Alien

Francis Maudaniel Hernandez, an illegal alien, ran his car through a red light and hit a pickup truck and the collision threw the truck into an ice cream shop in Aurora, Colorado. (Click here for the story by KUSA Channel 9, Denver)

The two women in the pickup were killed instantly and a boy in the store died later of fatal injuries he sustained because of the collision.

ICE spokesman Carl Rusnok said the 23-year-old illegal alien, Hernandez; “was born outside the country”.

According to Rusnok the hold means that Hernandez will be released to immigration authorities if the state releases him. (Yeah, right)

Five years previously, former Iranian president Hashemi Rafsanjani called for a Muslim state to annihilate Israel with a nuclear strike.

Ahmadinejad continues his bluster and threats today. He has conducted military maneuvers that have included multiple ballistic missile launches.

On July 9, Iran test-fired up to nine ballistic missiles near the Strait of Hormuz, through which much of the world’s oil supplies pass.

This would put American and Israeli military bases across the Middle East within striking distance of these missiles, including the ballistic Shahab-3.

General Hossein Salami, air force commander of the Revolutionary Guards, said the launches were intended to “demonstrate our resolve and might against enemies who in recent weeks have threatened Iran with harsh language. Our hands are always on the trigger and our missiles are ready for launch,” General Salami made it clear that he was talking about the United States and Israel.

Iran has recently said they are attempting to launch satellites into orbit around the earth. . The long-range ballistic technology used to put satellites into space can also be used for launching weapons, namely, nuclear warheads. (click here for the full story)

al-Mahdi’s return is the most significant event in the future for the Shi'ites and has tremendous eschatological consequences. According to islamic lore, al-Mahdi’s return will occur shortly before the Final Judgement and the end of history.

al-Mahdi will return as the head of the forces of righteousness and do battle with the forces of evil in the final apocalyptic battle. When evil has been defeated, al-Mahdi will rule the world for several years under a perfect government and bring about a perfect spirituality among the peoples of the world.

Russia’s brutal invasion of Georgia two weeks ago further demonstrates the belligerent and militant mindset of former Soviet KGB agent, and presently the man in power in Russia, Vladimir Putin.

Russia claims the invasion was necessary to “stop ethnic cleansing” in South Ossetia, an area that is inside Georgia’s borders. What really happened was that Georgian troops moved into South Ossetia after military attacks by South Ossetian militants.

According to the Chicago Tribune; “South Ossetia has existed as a de facto independent state within Georgian territory since a bloody civil war with Georgia in 1991-92. No country recognizes its statehood, but Russia supports the region economically and has maintained a military presence there.” (click here for the full news story)

Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, offered South Ossetia broad autonomy in exchange for allegiance to Georgia, but South Ossetian leaders have insisted on full independence or annexation by Russia.
South Ossetian forces attacked Georgian troops the first week of August. The attacks included an ambush with rocket-propelled grenades on a Georgian armored personnel carrier that killed two soldiers and wounded at least six. On Thursday, August 7, a South Ossetian mortar attack on the village of Avnevi killed at least eight Georgian civilians.
That evening, the Georgian President called for a cease-fire and asked the separatist leaders to resume negotiations for a peaceful settlement. But when South Ossetian troops began shelling Georgian villages after Saakashvili's call for a cease-fire, Georgian leaders decided to move ahead with their own assault.
Georgian Prime Minister Lado Gurgenidze said in a televised address; “Separatists opened fire in response to yesterday's peaceful initiative of the president of Georgia. As a result, lives of civilians were under threat."

Putin used the Georgian military response as an excuse to expand its power back into Georgia. Russian troops invaded Georgia on August 8, 2008, hundreds of people have died, and over 100,000 civilians have been displaced.

Putin’s storm troopers are still occupying Georgian territory after agreeing to a cease-fire calling for them to move back to Russia.

It seems that this invasion coupled with Putin’s staunch support of Iran’s quest for nuclear bombs, has turned Russia’s push for power has progressed to hard shoving.

With this latest demonstration of brutal aggression, Putin has poked the eye of the West in general and the United States specifically, and is waiting for our response.

SCOTUS Blog wrote;

Answering a 127-year old constitutional question, the Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the Second Amendment protects an individual right to have a gun, at least in one’s home. The Court, splitting 5-4, struck down a District of Columbia ban on handgun possession. Although times have changed since 1791, Justice Antonin Scalia said for the majority, “it is not the role of this Court to pronounce the Second Amendment extinct.” (click here to read the entire post.)

Regarding the SCOTUS ruling, John McCain said;

"For the first time in the history of our Republic, the U.S. Supreme Court affirmed that the Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms was and is an individual right as intended by our Founding Fathers."

Word for word, the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution reads;

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

It sounds like pretty plain language to me.

Little Girls & Guys Named Mohammed

Mohammed Al Hamdani, 39, was arrested Tuesday, June 17 and charged with enticement of a child, a class 4 felony, for trying to lure an 11-year-old little girl into his car. He met her in Bible Park in South-East Denver, actually where Denver and unincorporated Arapaho County meet.

This area is also known as “Saudi Aurora” because of its fairly large population of muslims.

The unidentified little girl used either a digital camera or her cell phone camera to take a photograph of Hamdani.

According to the Rocky Mountain News, when police interviewed Hamdani, he "admitted that he had been at the park and that the victim had taken his photograph,"

According to the arrest affidavit, Hamdani approached the girl in Bible Park, at 6800 E. Yale Avenue, on Saturday, June 14, and asked her for her name and address. The girl told police Hamdani also asked for her phone number and suggested they "hang out."

After noticing her camera, the man asked her to photograph him, and she did. He then asked her to take a photo of him near his car and offered to "give her a ride anywhere that she wanted to go," the affidavit said.

After taking his photograph, the girl ran away and told her mother what happened and Mom called the police. When police arrived to interview the girl, they quickly made the photo of Hamdani accessible to the media.

On Tuesday, June 17, the manager of the Broadway Motel at 1600 S. Broadway, called police that a man resembling the photo he had seen on television was staying in Room 5 of the motel. Apparently police then contacted Hamdani.

When the police interviewed Hamdani, he admitted that he had been at the park and that the little girl had taken his photograph. He also admitted he had asked for the girl's telephone number and offered to give her his number.

Hamdani also admitted to the police that if the girl had called him, he most certainly would have met with her. When the police asked Hamdani how old he thought the girl was, he claimed he thought she was twenty years old. When told of her actual age, he claimed he "would not have talked to her if he had known."

Yeah, right.

And wouldn’t you know it, Hamdani is familiar with crime as the police arrested him earlier this Spring for Disturbing the Peace and Making a Threat to Injure a Person.

That violent incident occurred at Porter Adventist Hospital where the charge nurse reported to police that Hamdani threatened to shoot her as she was attempting to discharge him.

But with the attempted abduction, Mohammed Al Hamdani was just doing exactly what his beloved prophet did. It’s a historical fact that the prophet Mohammed married his favorite wife when she was 9 years old.

Mohammed Al Hamdani’s attempt to take this little girl was bold and calculating. His enticement methodology appears to be based on previous experience.

Makes you wonder how many times he has done this and gotten away with it.

I guess guys named Mohammed just have a thing for little girls.

The Drudge Report (http://drudgereport.com/) is reporting a news story by Politico.com(http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0608/11168.html) about 2 muslim women at a Barack Hussein Obama rally in Detroit on Monday who were barred from sitting behind the podium. Obama campaign workers wanted to prevent the women’s headscarves from appearing in photographs or on television with the candidate.

Keep in mind, Hussein Obama is supposed to be the candidate who prays and worships at the Alter of the Religion of Inclusiveness.

Apparently Obama is trying to distance himself from islam or the appearance thereof.

An Associated Press story dated today, June 18, 2008, reports that “Hundreds of gay couples wed across California” (click here for the complete article).

The story says that these hundreds of homosexual couples “rushed to county clerks' offices throughout California to obtain marriage licenses”. And that all 58 counties in the state began issuing licenses Tuesday following the decision from the state's highest court.

Go online and you can see many photographs of homosexuals dressed up and grinning as they get their 15 minutes of fame at their “marriage ceremony”.

Go ahead, smile for the camera but just keep in mind, though in the eyes of the arrogant judges of California you may be married, in GOD’S eyes you are not.

And to the rest of the sane world, YOU’RE STILL A QUEER.

“Supreme Court Backs Rights For Guantanamo Detainees” declares the headline from an Associated Press story today. (click here for the story) In a 5 to 4 decision, Justice Anthony Kennedy, opining for the court, said, "The laws and Constitution are designed to survive, and remain in force, in extraordinary times."

Yes, if you are an American. Very few of the murderous pukes at Gitmo are Americans. They are inhuman barbaric terrorists and they have no rights.

The AP story went on to say that; “The vote was 5-4, with the court's liberal justices in the majority.”

At least 30 former Guantanamo Bay detainees have been killed or recaptured after taking up arms against allied forces following their release.

You’re driving on a city street, you’ve done nothing wrong. Suddenly, you drive up on a “military style check point”. A man in a police uniform, with a gun, orders you to pull over and stop. He demands that you present your proof of identity. He demands to know if you have a “legitimate purpose” to be in the neighborhood. HE will then, apparently, determine if your purpose is legitimate or not. If and when HE determines that you do not have a legitimate purpose in the neighborhood, he will “turn you away”.

“Police will search cars if they suspect the presence of guns or drugs, and will arrest people who do not cooperate, under a charge of failure to obey a police officer.”

Oh my gosh, am I talking about Baghdad?

Uh, no, actually this began happening on Saturday, June 7, 2008. This was reported in a story on the Washington Post web site. Click here to read the story.

"My reaction is, welcome to Baghdad, D.C.," said Arthur Spitzer, legal director of the Washington office of the American Civil Liberties Union. (ACLU)

Spitzer went on to say; "I mean, this is craziness. In this country, you don't have to show identification or explain to the police why you want to travel down a public street."

This is one of the few times that the ACLU “gets it”.

The story also said that this activity will take place randomly and last for at least a few days in the Trinidad neighborhood. Police will have the option of extending it, and could expand into other neighborhoods if requested by patrol commanders.

D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier, if you remember, had proposed in March the Safe Homes Initiative (click here for the news story) which called for uniformed police to go door to door in targeted areas and “ask” residents if the officers could go inside and search for guns. This created a backlash of complaints and protests from citizens and some city officials. The concerns are that homeowners and residents would feel intimidated by the armed police presence.

It will be too intimidating for some folks to say “no” to armed men, uniformed or not.

Chief Lanier took a step back, but said she plans to move the Safe Homes Initiative forward by “having residents call police to set up appointments.”

According to the recent Post story; this latest action; is aimed at the city's most troubled areas. The 5th Police District, which includes Trinidad, has had 22 killings this year, one more than all of last year. Since April 1, the Trinidad neighborhood has had 7 murders, 16 robberies and 20 assaults with dangerous weapons, according to police data.

Former D.C. Mayor Marion Barry, Jr. once said that Washington’s crime rate wouldn’t be so bad if it wasn’t for all those murders.

Keep in mind that Washington D.C. has the most repressive gun control laws in the country, and is still regarded as Murder City, U.S.A

Democracy, Muslim Style

Metropolitan State College of Denver, located in downtown Denver, publishes a weekly electronic news bulletin called @METRO. The April 23, 2008 edition carried a headline that proclaims:

“A lecture by a prominent Iranian revolutionary”

The synopsis of the bulletin states;

Lecture on US-Iranian Relations - The Political Science Department is sponsoring a lecture by Ebrahim Yazdi, secretary-general of the freedom movement in Iran, on Wednesday, April 30 at 1 p.m. in Tivoli 320. The lecture, titled “After the Votes are Counted: The Impact of Elections on US-Iranian Relations,” is part of the department’s Countdown to the Election series.

The Political Science Department at Metro State would like you to believe that this man is an Iranian George Washington. Somehow, I get the feeling that he’s not. He was, it seems, a revolutionary and participated in the revolutionary movement that toppled the government of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi in 1979.

On February 16, 2008, Michael Slackman wrote a New York Times profile about Ebrahim Yazdi titled; An Iranian Revolutionary, Dismayed but Unbowed (click here to read the profile)

In that profile Slackman writes that;

“Mr. Yazdi was an adviser to Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini, the moving force behind the ouster of the shah, the larger-than-life cleric who forged a nation that sought to merge religious governance and republican ideals. Mr. Yazdi was the first deputy prime minister and the first foreign minister.”

Slackman also wrote that Yazdi now has “white hair, a white beard, and a face softened by time, barely resembling the tight, stern young man who strode beside Ayatollah Khomeini in the early days of the revolution. He has a nice house in a nice section of Tehran, with crystal chandeliers in the living room, a large collection of parakeets that sing all day, a study lined with books and old photographs — and time, a lot of time."
(emphasis added)

What a quaint little picture Slackman paints of Yazdi as he is today. Let’s just forget about how brutal, barbaric, and utterly fascist and repressive the regime is that he helped put into power.

The New York Times profile also described photographs of Yazdi in the good old days. Slackman described one in which Yazdi, Khomeini and Yasir Arafat are shown taking over the Israeli Embassy in Tehran. “Mr. Yazdi held Mr. Arafat’s hand as they faced a sea of cheering men and women.” Slackman wrote.

Ebrahim Yazdi, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and Yasir Arafat, holding hands and having a Kumbaya moment.

The Political Science Department of Metropolitan State College of Denver paying U.S. dollars to this muslim Che Guevara to condescendingly lecture to American students about how America should submit to the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Rabbi Uria Ohana

CBS Broadcasting reported a brutal physical attack last week on a Jewish Rabbi, Uria Ohana, by a group of young muslim men. The attack occurred inside the Park Slope subway station in New York City.

Ali Hussein, age 18, grabbed Ohana's yarmulke off of his head while they were inside a Park Slope subway station. Ohana says he “decided to chase him (Hussein) to get my yarmulke back.”

The Rabbi said as he ran back down the station's stairs, two of Hussein's friends got up from a bench, chased him and began beating him severely.

"They were screaming 'Allahu Akhbar’ (God is great) and punching my face," Ohana said.

Apparently the punk puke Hussein was hit by a car as he ran out onto Fourth Avenue. (this is the highlight of the event.)

CBS further reported that prosecutors haven't classified the incident as a bias crime yet.

Why not?

Oops, I forgot, the guys who beat Ohana are muslims, you know, the religion of peace, and they can’t be guilty of a hate crime. When have you ever heard of muslims being hateful and violent?
It’s not like they riot and burn cars in Europe or gang rape western non-islamic women in Australia, Norway, Sweden and other Western nations.

Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

My father served in the military and was stationed at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. He signed up at the young age of twenty. He was excited about duty in Hawaii. He had grown up on a ranch / farm and spent a few summers herding sheep, baling hay, and mending fences. He grew up during the Great Depression, but didn’t realize the impact of it as his family raised just about everything they ate, from beef to corn.

He was about to have breakfast, pancakes as a matter of fact, when he heard the first explosions and the engines of the Japanese airplanes. He and a couple of his buddies “went outside to see what the hell was going on.”

They saw the planes silhouetted against the sky, but couldn’t make out the markings at first. One of his buddies said “Must be maneuvers.” And then they saw a few planes heading in their general direction and recognized them as Japanese Zeros.

He wouldn’t say much more about the rest of that day other than he was scared to death and they kept waiting for a land invasion that never occurred.

He served and fought for the entire duration in the Pacific Theater. He lost many friends saw many of them wounded horribly. He survived the war and was awarded the Bronze Star for valor and heroics, he was also awarded the Purple Heart for absorbing shrapnel in his back during that action. The shrapnel wounds caused him pain and suffering until the day he died at the age of 85.

As Billy Ray Cyrus wrote in a song about soldiers;

“All gave some, some gave all.”

President Franklin D. Roosevelt asking congress to declare war
on the Japanese Empire

To the Congress of the United States:
Yesterday, Dec. 7, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy - the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan.
The United States was at peace with that nation and, at the solicitation of Japan, was still in conversation with the government and its emperor looking toward the maintenance of peace in the Pacific.

Indeed, one hour after Japanese air squadrons had commenced bombing in Oahu, the Japanese ambassador to the United States and his colleagues delivered to the Secretary of State a formal reply to a recent American message. While this reply stated that it seemed useless to continue the existing diplomatic negotiations, it contained no threat or hint of war or armed attack.

It will be recorded that the distance of Hawaii from Japan makes it obvious that the attack was deliberately planned many days or even weeks ago. During the intervening time, the Japanese government has deliberately sought to deceive the United States by false statements and expressions of hope for continued peace.

The attack yesterday on the Hawaiian Islands has caused severe damage to American naval and military forces. Very many American lives have been lost. In addition, American ships have been reported torpedoed on the high seas between San Francisco and Honolulu.

Yesterday, the Japanese government also launched an attack against Malaya.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked Hong Kong.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked Guam.
Last night, Japanese forces attacked the Philippine Islands.
Last night, the Japanese attacked Wake Island.
This morning, the Japanese attacked Midway Island.

Japan has, therefore, undertaken a surprise offensive extending throughout the Pacific area. The facts of yesterday speak for themselves. The people of the United States have already formed their opinions and well understand the implications to the very life and safety of our nation.

As commander in chief of the Army and Navy, I have directed that all measures be taken for our defense.

Always will we remember the character of the onslaught against us.
No matter how long it may take us to overcome this premeditated invasion, the American people in their righteous might will win through to absolute victory.

I believe I interpret the will of the Congress and of the people when I assert that we will not only defend ourselves to the uttermost, but will make very certain that this form of treachery shall never endanger us again.

Hostilities exist. There is no blinking at the fact that that our people, our territory and our interests are in grave danger.

With confidence in our armed forces - with the un-bounding determination of our people - we will gain the inevitable triumph - so help us God.

I ask that the Congress declare that since the unprovoked and dastardly attack by Japan on Sunday, Dec. 7, a state of war has existed between the United States and the Japanese empire.

Thanksgiving Proclamations

In November of 1621, the Pilgrims had what is considered to be the first Thanksgiving. On November 29th, 1623, three years after the Pilgrims' arrival and two years after the first Thanksgiving, William Bradford, who was Governor of the Plymouth Colony, made an official proclamation of a day of Thanksgiving:

To all ye Pilgrims:

In as much as the great Father has given us this year an abundant harvest of Indian corn, wheat peas, beans, squashes, and garden vegetable, and has made the forest to abound with game and the sea with fish and clams, and inasmuch as he has protected us ..., has spared us from pestilence and disease, has granted us freedom to worship God according to the dictates of our own conscience;

Now I, your magistrate, do proclaim that all ye Pilgrims, with your wives and ye little ones, do gather at ye meeting house ..., on Thursday, November 29th, of the year of our Lord one thousand six hundred and twenty-three, and the third year since ye Pilgrims landed on Pilgrim Rock, there to listen to ye pastor and render thanksgiving to ye Almighty God for all His blessings.

On October 21st, 1785, John Langdon, who was the Governor of New Hampshire, a signer of the U.S. Constitution as well as a U.S. Senator, made this official Proclamation for a General Thanksgiving to the State of New Hampshire:

The munificent Father of Mercies, and Sovereign Disposer of Events, having been graciously pleased to relieve the United States of America from the Calamities of a long and dangerous war.... preventing Famine from entering our Borders; -- eventually restored to us the blessings of Peace, on Terms advantageous and honourable.

...It therefore becomes our indispensable Duty, not only to acknowledge, in general with the rest of Mankind, our dependence on the supreme Ruler of the Universe, but as a people peculiarly favoured to testify our Gratitude to the Author of all our Mercies, in the most solemn and public manner.

I Do therefore, agree to a Vote of the General Court, appointing Thursday the 24th Day of November next, to be observed and kept as a Day of General Thanksgiving throughout this State ...

On November 8, 1783, John Hancock, the Governor of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and first member of the Continental Congress to sign the Declaration of Independence, issued A Proclamation for a Day of Thanksgiving to celebrate the victorious conclusion of the Revolutionary War:

Whereas... these United States are not only happily rescued from the Danger and Calamities to which they have been so long exposed but their Freedom, Sovereignty and Independence ultimately acknowledged.

And whereas... the Interposition of Divine Providence in our Favor hath been most abundantly and most graciously manifested and the Citizens of these United States have every Reason for Praise and Gratitude to the God of their salvation.

Impresses therefore with an exalted Sense of Blessings by which we are surrounded and of our entire Dependence on that Almighty Being from whose Goodness and Bounty they are derived; I do. .. appoint Thursday the eleventh Day of December next to be religiously observed as a Day of Thanksgiving and Prayer..

On September 25th, 1789, Congress unanimously approved a resolution asking the President to proclaim a National Day of Thanksgiving and on October 3, 1789, while in New York City, President George Washington shared his Thanksgiving Proclamation:

Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor...

Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November next to be devoted by the people of these United States... that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations , and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions...to promote the knowledge and practice of the true religion and virtue...

On October 3, 1863, President Abraham Lincoln issued a formal proclamation, passed by an Act of Congress initiating the first annual National Day of Thanksgiving.

No human counsel hath devised, nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the most high God who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy...

I do, therefore, invite my fellow citizens in every part of the United States and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens... [it is] announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history, that those nations are blessed whose God is the Lord ... It has seemed to me fit and proper that God should be solemnly, reverently and gratefully acknowledged as with one heart and voice, by the whole American people.

Let's all remember the words of these great men and thank God for His blessings.

Origins Of Halloween

For a proper understanding of the modern American celebration on October 31st, we must look at three early celebrations that have come together to form today's Halloween.

The first of these precursors to Halloween goes all the way back to pre-Christian Ireland and Scotland to a celebration of the Druids or Celtic priests. The Celtic year began on November 1st with the festival of Samhain. On the eve of Samhain, October 31st, laughing bands of young people disguised in grotesque masks carved lanterns from turnips and carried them through the villages. It was sort of a harvest festival, and in addition, it was thought of as a festival of the dead. The druids believed it was on that night when the earth comes into closest contact with the spiritual world; and consequently ghosts, goblins and witches supposedly destroyed crops, killed farm animals and wreaked havoc on the villagers. As these spirits of the dead roamed around, villagers lighted bonfires to either drive them away or to guide the spirits of the dead back to their homes.

The second precursor to Halloween goes back to the Dark Ages in central Europe. There, the Christian church destroyed many of the temples of various pagan gods and goddesses, such as Diana and Apollo. However, this pagan worship was never completely eradicated and took on the form of witchcraft. One of the most important aspects of witchcraft is a number of celebrations each year which are called "Witches' Sabbaths." One of the highest of the Witches' Sabbaths is the High Sabbath or the Black Sabbath of Witches on October 31st. Much of the Halloween folklore of today such as black cats, broomsticks, cauldrons and spells come from the Black Sabbath.

The third precursor to Halloween goes back to the early Roman Catholic Church. The church had appointed certain days to honor each saint and basically ran out of days in the year for all their saints to have a day, so they decided to have one day to remember all the saints. They called it All Saints' Day. In the eighth century, Pope Gregory the third changed All Saints' Day from May 13th to November 1st, and in the year 834 Pope Gregory the fourth extended this celebration to the entire Roman church. This event was called Allhallowmass, and as you might suppose, there was a celebration on the evening before on October 31st, called All Hallow E'en, "all hallow" meaning all of the hallowed ones. As you might guess, the contraction of hallow and e'en is where the word Halloween is derived.

The modern custom of going door to door begging for candy while dressed in costumes called "trick or treating," goes back to the pagan new year's feast in Ireland. The spirits that were thought to throng about the houses of the living were greeted with a banquet. At the end of the feast, villagers disguised as souls of the dead, paraded to the outskirts of the village leading the spirits away. This was done to avoid any calamities the dead might bring. Another way the villagers tried to appease the dead was to set out bowls of fruit and other treats so the spirits would partake of them and leave them in peace. Later when the belief in ghosts and goblins declined, youths dressed up as ghosts and goblins and threatened to play tricks on those who failed to be generous with treats.

The jack-o-lantern, also known as will-o-the-wisp, fox fire and corpse candle, among other things, was believed to be a wandering soul which could not find refuge in either heaven or hell because of a particularly evil deed committed in its lifetime. The Finns believed that it was the soul of a child buried in the forest. A corpse candle is said to be a small flame moving through the air in the dark and is believed by the superstitious to be an omen of the observers imminent death.

According to ancient folklore from many places, a will-o-the-wisp wanders about swamp areas, enticing victims to follow. These strange fires were also known as "foolish fire," because only a fool would follow them. Today's pumpkin face is symbolic of that mocking spirit.

It is always wise to look into any customs associated with holidays and be aware of their roots.

Facts Are Stubborn Things

Al Gore received Academy Awards, or Oscars, for his “documentary”, An Inconvenient Truth. Gore’s film quickly became a gospel of sorts with the Church of Environmentalism, especially with the Global Warming denomination.

Many people have ignorantly fallen into this cultish trap of inaccuracy. Including then British Environment Secretary, David Miliband, who decided it would be a good idea to show An Inconvenient Truth in all British schools, because, as Miliband claimed, the scientific debate over man-made global warming "is over."

And then a funny thing happened, the facts got in the way.

But when Milibrand decided to push this load of crap onto British school children, a father, by the name Stewart Dimmock filed a lawsuit that claimed the movie contained "serious scientific inaccuracies, political propaganda and sentimental mush."

A British High Court judge Michael Burton agreed with the father and ruled Wednesday that Gore's fantasy should be shown in British schools only with “guidance notes to prevent political indoctrination.”

Interestingly, the Nobel Peace Prize panel announced today that Gore was awarded the peace prize for his efforts in producing the movie. Just a thought here, what does global warming have to do with promoting world peace? But I digress.

The Director of a think tank called New Zealand Centre for Political Research, contacted the president of the Academy and asked that the Oscar awarded to Gore’s film be taken back in response to the court ruling. The court found 11 serious inaccuracies in the movie.

According to WorldNetDaily.com, (click here to read the story) Muriel Newman, director of the think tank, told Academy President Sid Ganis and Executive Director Bruce Davis "the situation is not unlike that confronting sports bodies when their sports stars are found to be drug cheats. In such cases, the sportsmen and women are stripped of their medals and titles, with the next place-getter elevated. While this is an extremely unpleasant duty, it is necessary if the integrity of competitive sport is to be protected.”

WorldNetDaily.com also said that Newman “pointed to the British ruling, which requires teachers to tell students of 11 inaccuracies in Gore's film.”

Newman said; "The truth, as inconvenient as it is to Al Gore, is that his so-called documentary contained critical distortions that are quite contrary to the principles of good documentary journalism. Good documentaries should be factually correct. Clearly this documentary is not."

The court ruled the Guidance Notes that Teachers must disclose and make clear to students are:

* The film is a political work and promotes only one side of the argument.

* If teachers present the film without making this plain they may be in breach of section 406 of the Education Act 1996 and guilty of political indoctrination.

* Eleven inaccuracies have to be specifically drawn to the attention of school children.
The inaccuracies, according to the court, are:

1. The film claims that melting snows on Mount Kilimanjaro evidence global warming. The Government's expert was forced to concede that this is not correct.

2. The film suggests that evidence from ice cores proves that rising CO2 causes temperature increases over 650,000 years. The court found that the film was misleading: Over that period the rises in CO2 lagged behind the temperature rises by 800-2000 years.

3. The film uses emotive images of Hurricane Katrina and suggests that this has been caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that it was "not possible" to attribute one-off events to global warming.

4. The film shows the drying up of Lake Chad and claims that this was caused by global warming. The Government's expert had to accept that this was not the case.

5. The film claims that a study showed that polar bears had drowned due to disappearing arctic ice. It turned out that Mr. Gore had misread the study: In fact four polar bears drowned, and this was because of a particularly violent storm.

6. The film threatens that global warming could stop the Gulf Stream, throwing Europe into an ice age: The Claimant's evidence was that this was a scientific impossibility.

7. The film blames global warming for species losses including coral reef bleaching. The Government could not find any evidence to support this claim.

8. The film suggests that the Greenland ice covering could melt, causing sea levels to rise dangerously. The evidence is that Greenland will not melt for millennia.

9. The film suggests that the Antarctic ice covering is melting; the evidence was that it is in fact increasing.

10. The film suggests that sea levels could rise by seven meters, causing the displacement of millions of people. In fact, the evidence is that sea levels are expected to rise by about 40 centimeters over the next hundred years and that there is no such threat of massive migration.

11. The film claims that rising sea levels has caused the evacuation of certain Pacific islands to New Zealand. The Government is unable to substantiate this and the Court observed that this appears to be a false claim.

'God' restored to U.S. flag certificates

Officials reverse policy after public outcry, Republican protest

It seems that Stephen T. Ayers, acting Architect of The Capitol changed the rule after “public outcry and protest from House Republican leaders”.

Ayers said in a statement;

"The Office of the Architect of the Capitol is a service organization. Flying the flags over the Capitol is an important constituent service for members of Congress. When one of our services or policies doesn't effectively serve members of Congress or the American public, it needs to be changed immediately."

The old rule said: "Personalized dedications are permitted, but limited to three hundred (300) characters. Please keep in mind, political and/or religious expressions are not permitted on the flag certificate."

The new rule, posted today, includes only the first sentence limiting the length of the dedication.

It’s nice to have a small victory for the little guy.

According to a news story from Cleveland.com (click here to read the story) an Eagle Scout from the Dayton, Ohio area requested that a flag flown over the U.S. Capitol be sent to his grandfather and the certificate inscribed with the message:

"In honor of my grandfather Marcel Larochelle, and his dedication and love of God, country, and family."

After the flag was sent, the Eagle Scout and his father contacted the office of their U.S. Representative Michael Turner, because they noticed the word "God" was left off the certificate that’s included with the flag.

Apparently, the Architect of the Capitol, Stephen T. Ayers, refuses to allow the inclusion of the word God on the certificates.

Representative Turner and more than 100 of his Republican colleagues sent a letter to House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last week. The letter said in part;

"The Architect's policy prohibiting "God" from appearing on certificates for flags flown over the U.S. Capitol puts at risk our religious freedoms and heritage.”

In response to the letter, Pelosi said the policy was adopted because "people were asking for statements that not only were religious, beyond using the word God, but political as well." She said the official policy is to send a certificate that lists nothing beyond the date the flag flew over the Capitol and the name of its recipient. She said that members of Congress who request flags on behalf of constituents can "add whatever they wish" to the certificates, "whether it is a political statement or a religious statement."

She also said; "It's not about being anti-religion. It is just about what the architect thought was appropriate for him to proclaim in a certificate."

Oh really? Is the Architect of the Capitol now an official religion policy maker? Is he now the official religious censor? Nancy Pelosi apparently thinks he is.

Representative Turner said he’ll continue collecting more signatures for his letter asking Pelosi to overturn the policy, he said; "if the speaker and the architect continue to implement their censorship program, we will drop legislation to compel the architect to return to granting inscriptions permitting the acknowledgement of God."

Turner said members of Congress review the appropriateness of messages that constituents request with the flags, and their discretion should be sufficient.

Turner also said;

"We have the responsibility for these common sense issues that might arise with flag inscriptions and this one is basic, the architect has decided the word 'God' is offensive. This rule should not be allowed to stand."

And he is right, on both points.

Nancy Pelosi defended this censorship and yet last Sunday she claimed that she prays everyday for President Bush. Yeah, right.

If you recall, Pelosi took a trip to the middle east in March/April 2007. She met with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in Ramallah, West Bank, and with Syrian President Bashar Assad in Damascus.

Notice the headscarf she wore. She willingly chose to cover herself up in perfect submission to allah. But she will deny Americans their chance to glorify both God and country in writing, on a simple certificate.

Obama was interviewed in Cedar Rapids, Iowa by KCRG-TV. He also told the television station that he doesn't like how the pin has come to represent patriotism in America.

Obama said "I decided I won't wear that pin on my chest," instead, he will tell the American people what patriotism truly is, and how to express it.

We shouldn’t be so surprised that he won’t wear an American flag, after all, he was educated in madrasas when he was young, and madrasas are infamous for teaching hatred for any non-islamic beliefs or anyone who is an infidel. I know Obama claims to be a Christian now, but according to the prophet Mohammad, it’s okay to lie, as long as it profits islam.

Sorry Abu Obama, but your true allegiances are starting to show.

Suppose you’re waiting at a bus stop along with several other commuters.

A man walks up wearing a mask and hood.

Your stomach cramps up into a knot, you realize that you may be robbed, you may be stabbed, or shot. You may not see a weapon, but you assume he has one.

It’s out of the ordinary; it’s odd, if a man walks up to you wearing a mask. Most folk’s reaction would be one of apprehension and fright.

Now, a similar scenario, you’re waiting for the same bus, along with several other people, but this time it’s a woman wearing a burqa, her face completely hidden, except for her eyes. The burqa is full and flowing. You can’t tell if she has a weapon or not.

But, of course, she doesn’t. She’s harmless. She’s a muslim, her religion is islam, you know, the RELIGION OF PEACE. Almost all of our government leaders and all the “mainstream” news agencies say that muslims are peaceful, religious, they’re just like us.

A Reuters news story out of Islamabad, Pakistan, reported that someone wearing a burqa blew herself or himself up killing at least 15 people, and wounded 19 others.

Javed Iqbal Cheema, a spokesman for the Pakastani Interior Ministry said; "A burqa-clad bomber -- either it was a woman or a man in a burqa -- set off explosives when police approached.”

That attack demonstrates the problem with political correctness and it’s tolerance without question, towards ALL religions and religious garb. The authorities in Pakistan don’t even know if this terrorist was a man or a woman. The victims at that bus stand couldn’t tell that the “burqa-clad bomber” was wearing a bomb.

It seems to me that there are more and more muslim women in America who insist on wearing their headscarves anytime, anywhere. And they’re getting more and more elaborate in the layers they wear. How soon will we start to see more and more burqas on American streets? It’s already happening in muslim strongholds like Dearborn, Michigan, and Church Falls, Virginia.

You may recall the case in Florida a few years ago, where Sultaana Freeman, an American-born muslim convert, demanded that she be allowed to wear her hijab for her Florida driver’s license. The hijab covered her entire face, except her eyes, obscuring all other facial features.

The State of Florida denied her request, and Freeman took the State to court. She contended that the State, by ordering her to remove the hijab, infringed upon her right to observe her religion.

Sultaana Freeman was born in Washington, D.C. in 1967 as Sandra Keller, and converted to islam in January 1997. At first, she only wore a headscarf, but started wearing a niqab, or, a full face veil, several months later.

In December of that same year, Freeman obtained a driver’s license from the State of Illinois, wearing the veil. She did so with the pretext of showing off her new found faith.

Freeman began wearing the niqab regularly, concealing her face while at work and everywhere else in public.

In February of 2001 Freeman obtained a Florida driver's license and was allowed to wear the face veil in the license photograph.

But apparently, someone at the State level questioned the wisdom of that decision. In November and December of 2001, the State sent Freeman two letters demanding a new photo without the veil, or her current license would be cancelled prior to its expiration date.

On January 7, 2002, the State of Florida cancelled Freeman's license after she refused to be re-photographed. She filed a lawsuit two weeks later and was represented by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU).

In late May of 2003, the trial took place in Orlando, Florida, and Circuit Court Judge Janet C. Thorpe ruled against Freeman. The judge said in her ruling that;

"Although the court acknowledges that plaintiff herself most likely poses no threat to national security, there likely are people who would be willing to use a ruling permitting the wearing of full-face cloaks in driver's license photos by pretending to ascribe to religious beliefs in order to carry out activities that would threaten lives."

Judge Thorpe’s ruling makes perfect sense in a post 9/11 world.

Interestingly, the rules and regulations in some muslim nations are in sharp contrast to Freeman’s claims of religious expression. For example; in Saudi Arabia, women aren't even allowed to drive. In Iran women wear a traditional chador, that doesn’t cover the face. In Egypt, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain women do not cover their face in I.D. pictures.

But how does this case relate to the suicide bomber wearing the burqa? Absolute freedom of religious expression in public can be a very dangerous thing. Literally. I am a Christian, but I cannot and I do not aggressively subject those with different theological beliefs to my point of view. If you ask, I will tell you that Jesus is The Way, The Truth and The Life. I will tell you that no one can come to the Father, that is, His Amazing Grace and eternal salvation, except through Jesus. But if you say no thanks, I will leave you alone. The consequences of your choice will be up to God, not me. If you say no to islam, a bomber in a burqa may blow you up.

Pre-9/11, I could not have cared less if a woman was stupid enough to wear a burqa because of her barbaric and uncivilized religion. In a Post 9/11 America, someone wearing a burqa should be viewed as a possible terrorist threat.

An interesting side note here regarding Sultaana Freeman, in 1998 she was arrested in Decatur, Illinois for battery of one of her foster children and her foster children were removed from her custody. Freeman pleaded guilty and received 18 months of probation. Freeman wore her veil for her mug shot, but she was forced to take a second mug shot without the veil.

Where Have All Our Freedoms Gone?

If you have watched our American culture long enough, you are aware of an erosion of our basic freedoms. And this is true in both the private and public (government) areas of life.

Especially, if you’re a Christian.

At Christmas time you can’t ring a bell and monitor a Salvation Army collection kettle in front of certain major department stores that were once friendly, or at least neutral to the Christian holiday.

You can’t even mention the name of Jesus Christ in the land of the free.

Just ask Lewis-Palmer High School valedictorian Erica Corder.

According to the Colorado Springs Gazette, she graduated from the school in 2006 and was chosen to give the conclusion of a commencement speech shared by 15 valedictorians at the Tri-Lakes-area high school in May of last year.

Each valedictorian was given thirty seconds to speak at the ceremony. Corder added an evangelical comment to her speech, and what she said was;

“We are all capable of standing firm and expressing our own beliefs, which is why I need to tell you about Someone who loves you more than you could ever imagine. He died for you on a cross over 2,000 years ago, yet was resurrected and is living today in Heaven. His name is Jesus Christ. If you don’t already know Him personally I encourage you to find out more about the sacrifice He made for you so that you now have the opportunity to live in Eternity with Him.”

(Gee, that’s really offensive, eh?)

After the speech, the school’s principal, Mark Brewer, ordered Corder’s diploma to be withheld from her and told Corder to meet with him to get her diploma. He then threatened to withhold her diploma until she apologized for her speech. Corder did not apologize for what she said, but she did agree to write a letter to explain her actions. She wrote in her letter; “I’m sorry I didn’t share my plans with Mr. Brewer or the other valedictorians ahead of time.”

Erica Corder and her parents sued the district for violating her right to freedom of speech.

The Gazette report said;

“In the lawsuit, Corder contends her First Amendment rights of free speech were violated when the district ‘refused to present her with her diploma unless she issued an apology for mentioning Jesus Christ in her graduation speech’ and also required speeches to be rehearsed. The suit also says her 14th Amendment rights to equal protection were violated, in part because district practices ‘treat religious speech differently than nonreligious speech.’”

And of course, remaining true to their cowardly, intolerant nature, people in authority at the school district, Robin Adair, district spokeswoman, Superintendent Raymond Blanch, and Board President Jes Raintree did not return phone messages that were left Wednesday evening, and Board Vice President Dee Dee Eaton deferred a call from The Gazette back to Adair.

But keep in mind that they consider themselves to be liberal and progressive.

District Spokeswoman Robin Adair sent an e-mail statement to the Associated Press stating that;

“The events that are the subject of the case occurred over a year ago, at which time a complete review of the situation was performed by the District.

Since then, representatives of the District have met on several occasions with the parents and the former student.

While we are disappointed that this matter has resulted in litigation, we are confident that all actions taken by school officials were constitutionally appropriate. As a result, we intend to vigorously defend the claims. (emphasis added)

Beyond that, it is the District's policy not to comment on pending litigation.”

Erica Corder is now nineteen years old and is a student at Wheaton College in Illinois. She said the reason for the lawsuit is because “I want to make sure the school understands what they did was wrong.”

The Corders have retained Liberty Counsel, a group that specializes in cases involving religious freedom.

President Bush's Crawford home

American President George W. Bush’s house is on a ranch near Crawford, Texas, and was designed by a professor of architecture at a leading national university.

Bush’s house incorporates every "green" feature current home construction can provide. The house is 4,000 square feet with 4 bedrooms, and is on a high prairie in the American southwest.

A central closet in the house holds geothermal heat-pumps drawing ground water through pipes sunk 300 feet into the ground. The heated water heats the house in the winter and cools it in the summer.

The system uses NO fossil fuels such as oil or natural gas and it consumes one-quarter the electricity required for a conventional heating/cooling system.

Rainwater from the roof is collected and funneled into a 25,000 gallon underground cistern. Wastewater from showers, sinks and toilets goes into underground purifying tanks and then into the cistern for recycling.

Fox News reported today that Mike Nifong, the disgraced district attorney for Durham County, North Carolina who accused three Duke lacrosse players of raping an “exotic dancer” who was also a lying, illegal-drug abuser who performed sex acts for money, said he was “sorry” for accusing the three young men with no credible evidence.

Well, at least Nifong was right about one thing.

He said he’s sorry.

I don’t think I’m too paranoid, but I just read a news story from breitbart.com about a Southern Illinois University student who was arrested after he threatened a "murderous rampage" similar to the Virginia Tech shootings. (32 people murdered by a Korean student whose family lived in Saudi Arabia for a few years)

The ATF was notified by the gun dealer whom the student was buying guns through. Apparently the guy was a little “over anxious” to receive the guns.

The name of the student is Olutosin Oduwole, from Maplewood, New Jersey.

Oduwole is charged with attempting to make a terrorist threat, a felony. He is in jail in lieu of $1 million bail.

The note demanded that money be deposited to a PayPal account, and that "if this account doesn't reach $50,000 in the next 7 days then a murderous rampage similar to the VT shooting will occur at another highly populated university. THIS IS NOT A JOKE!"

Authorities allegedly found a note on Friday in Oduwole's car on campus, according to university spokesman Greg Conroy. Police also said they found a loaded gun in Oduwole's dorm room.

The Madison County State's Attorney did not respond to a message asking for comment.

Of course not.

Will you be surprised if this puke turns out to be a foreigner of the muslim persuasion?

WorldNetDaily.com published a news story on Friday, July 13, 2007, that in the Iraqi city of Baqubah, there were several instances in which al-Qaida terrorists baked young boys about 11 years old, then invited the boy’s family to lunch with the victim as the main course. The report is by Michael Yon, a Special Forces soldier who returned to Iraq to report on the successes there. Yon told Hugh Hewitt, a popular radio talk-show host, that he was inspired by a "news cycle that seems to pander toward the terrorists."

While in Baqubah, Yon spoke to an Iraqi official, who asked not to be identified. The official told Yon that al-Qaida arrived in Baqubah and enlisted a number of criminal gangs.

"Speaking through an American interpreter, Lt. David Wallach, who is a native Arabic speaker, the Iraqi official related how al-Qaida united these gangs who then became absorbed into 'al-Qaida.' They recruited boys born during the years 1991, 92 and 93 who were each given weapons, including pistols, a bicycle and a phone (with phone cards paid) and a salary of $100 per month, all courtesy of al-Qaida. These boys were used for kidnapping, torturing and murdering people," according to Yon.

Yon went on to say;

"At first, he (Wallach) said, they would only target Shia, but over time the new al-Qaida directed attacks against Sunni, and then anyone who thought differently. The official reported that on a couple of occasions in Baqubah, al-Qaida invited to lunch families they wanted to convert to their way of thinking. In each instance, the family had a boy, he said, who was about 11 years old".

"As Lt. David Wallach interpreted the man's words, I saw Wallach go blank and silent. He stopped interpreting for a moment. I asked Wallach, 'What did he say?' Wallach said that at these luncheons, the families were sat down to eat. And then their boy was brought in with his mouth stuffed. The boy had been baked. Al-Qaida served the boy to his family."

In an updated report by WorldNetDaily.com, Tilman Geske, a German citizen, and two Christian Turks were murdered – allegedly by five Muslims, who met the three victims at a Christian publishing company for a Bible study, according to Voice of the Martyrs.

According to the report, Geske, 46, Pastor Necati Aydin and Ugur Yuksel were stabbed hundreds of times, "they were disemboweled and their intestines sliced up in front of their eyes." In that case, "various body parts were chopped off," he said. "It was terrible."

There are stories upon stories of mass graves in Iraq, where headless corpses are buried, many of them children. These are recent graves, post-Saddam.

In another report, two Muslim men approached a Christian boy at work at a mechanic's shop. They said, 'Are you a Christian.' He said, ‘Yes.' He was beheaded on the spot.

And it goes on and on.

The atrocities committed by radical islamists since September 11, 2001 are so numerous, a person’s soul can become numb just reading about them. But the western world cannot afford to become numb, we cannot allow ourselves to become confused or oblivious to who the enemy is, and what he wants to do to us.

We are at war, we are in a fight to the finish.

Free College For Illegal Aliens

Have you ever noticed the sense of entitlement that so many illegal aliens have? The arrogant, in your face attitude they display when they’ve participated in pro-illegal alien demonstrations?

Did you ever wonder where that sense of entitlement comes from?

Well, it seems they feel entitled to protest, demonstrate and demand a slice of the American dream even though they’re here illegally, because of Government entities such as the Poudre School District in the State of Colorado, and the University of New Mexico.

According to The Coloradoan in Fort Collins, Colorado, Poudre High School counselor Isabel Thacker, has found a way to play the system, via a loop hole, that allows ILLEGAL aliens to attend college at the University of New Mexico, (UNM) through a program that Thacker helped to develop. The news report says that “In most states, such an opportunity for undocumented students is not available.”

Umm, why would an illegal alien presume that educational opportunities should be available to them? Just a thought.

In 2005, the State of New Mexico passed a bill that prohibited the state from denying education benefits based on a student’s immigration status, according to Terry Babbitt, director of admissions for the University of New Mexico.

Babbitt said "We have to offer state financial aid to any student, regardless of their immigration status." However, New Mexico's state financial aid is intended for residents only.

So why can illegals go to college, many times without having to pay for tuition and books? Well, a loophole in UNM's residency requirements allows the illegal alien students from Fort Collins to receive in-state tuition in New Mexico as well as an institutional scholarship that covers the entire cost of their tuition.

According to Alex Gonzalez, associate director of the scholarship office at UNM; "Students can enroll for up to six credit hours and get the in-state rate (at UNM). They can then go across the street to Central New Mexico Community College and enroll for another six hours and continue to pay the UNM in-state tuition rate. They then are counted as full-time UNM students."

Four illegals attended UNM through the program last year. This year, nine illegals from Poudre High and one from Fort Collins High School will attend UNM through this program.

Poudre High School counselor Isabel Thacker, said "Before this, there were no options, like anything, you have to know how the system works."

Yeah, work that system for all it’s worth!

A full year of tuition at UNM, at 12 credit hours per semester for in-state students equals $4,570.80, Gonzalez said.

But it gets better, through an institutional scholarship made available to the illegals, $5,000 of their tuition and book expenses can be covered. This means that the illegals from Poudre School District have to only pay a fraction of their book costs and their living expenses out-of-pocket.

Sweet deal, eh?

The illegals from Poudre District can’t ride the gravy train in Colorado because a bill passed during a special Legislative session last year prohibits Colorado from providing public benefits, including in-state tuition, which is subsidized by state taxpayers, to illegal aliens.

Illegals are allowed in to Colorado colleges, but, they have to pay out of state tuition at state schools. Sandy Calhoun, director of student financial services at Colorado State University said; "They are allowed into the institution. But in essence, it essentially precludes them from attending college unless they have significant resources of their own."

There is no such thing as a free lunch, and there is no such thing as free tuition, SOMEONE has to pay for it, usually the taxpayers.

I’m a bigot because I didn’t support his dumb-ass immigration bill.

And neither did a hell of a lot of Americans.

In fact, only 22% of Americans favored the immigration bill according to a Rasmussen survey. The bill lost favor by 1 point from two weeks ago, and is down from 26 percent when the bill was first introduced.

The survey showed a bipartisan lack of support for the Senate bill. Broken down, the bill had the support of only 22 percent of Republicans, 23 percent of Democrats and 22 percent of unaffiliated voters.

The opposition numbers that were reported are: 52 percent of Republicans, 50 percent of Democrats and 48 percent of unaffiliateds.

WorldNetDaily.com reported today; “A procedural vote in the Senate today effectively killed the controversial immigration reform bill crafted by the White House, Democrats and key Republican leaders.

The tally fell 14 votes short of the 60 needed to invoke cloture, which would have cut off debate, leading to a final vote requiring only a simply majority.

Members of both parties on Capitol Hill have said the issue is unlikely to be addressed again until after the 2008 presidential election.”

The bill would have provided a fast track to legal status and then amnesty for illegals already in America. The government estimates that there are 12-20 million illegal aliens now in the U.S., but other sources have estimated the number at 20-50 million.

Though President Bush, Senators Ted Kennedy (D) Massachusetts, John McCain (R) Arizona and other proponents claimed it wasn’t amnesty, the bill’s provisions said otherwise. It would have allowed illegals to acquire a probationary visa after a quick 24 hour background check.

But like Paris Hilton, don’t count it out yet, it may come back sooner than you expect.

In its first two years the Moral Majority mobilized over 100,000 pastors, priests, and rabbis and nearly seven million religious conservatives who all shared the same values as stated above. Mr. Falwell initially gave the Moral Majority his five year commitment to serve in a leadership role. He actually served ten years before disbanding the organization in 1989 to focus on the expansion of Liberty University, which he also founded.

The Moral Majority chose to support then California Governor Ronald Reagan as candidate for President in 1980. The Moral Majority registered 80 million new voters, and set out to inform and stimulate American voters who were committed to faith, family, and Judeo-Christian values.

After college, at the young age of 22, Mr. Falwell returned to his hometown, Lynchburg, Virginia, and started the Thomas Road Baptist Church with 35 members. The first Sunday offering totaled $135. Today, Thomas Road Church has some 24,000 members.

After founding Thomas Road Baptist in 1956, Mr. Falwell began the Old-Time Gospel Hour, a daily local radio ministry and a weekly local television ministry. Fifty years later, the Old-Time Gospel Hour is available to every American home and on every continent except Antarctica.

Through the years, over three million people have professed Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior as a result of the Old-Time Gospel Hour radio and television ministry.

Mr. Falwell had a vision of a Christian educational system, and in 1967 he built Lynchburg Christian Academy, a Christ-centered, fully accredited Christian day school providing kindergarten, elementary and high school that excelled academically.

Then in 1971, Mr. Falwell founded Liberty University that presently has over 21,500 students from 50 states and 80 nations attending the accredited, liberal arts Christian university.

Mr. Falwell was named Clergyman of the Year in America, Religious Heritage of America in1979, awarded the Jabotinsky Centennial Medal, for friendship to Israel. The medal was presented by Prime Minister Menachem Begin in 1980. He was also named Christian Humanitarian of the Year, Food for the Hungry International, 1981 and Most Admired Man Not in Congress, Conservative Digest, 1983.

He was voted several times among the 10 Most Admired Men in America, by the Good Housekeeping Poll and named one of the 25 Most Influential People in America, U.S. News & World Report, 1983.

Mr. Falwell was featured on the covers of Newsweek and Time, and other print and broadcast outlets. He was invited to speak at dozens of colleges and universities including Harvard, Princeton, Yale, Dartmouth, UCLA, and Notre Dame.

He met privately numerous times with Presidents George Bush, Ronald Reagan, Gerald Ford, and Richard Nixon.

He also met with world leaders such as Egyptian President Anwar Sadat, South African President F.W. DeKlerk, Jordan's King Hussein, and Israeli Prime Ministers Begin, Shamir, Rabin, Peres, Netanyahu and Sharon.

He also wrote several books, including; When it Hurts Too Much to Cry, Finding Inner Peace and Strength, Strength for the Journey.

I can’t say that I always agreed with him, but I always respected him. I always enjoyed watching him when he appeared on the news to offer his opinion.

He was a great man who accomplished a lot.

Jerry Falwell was loved and respected by many, and he achieved more in his lifetime than all of his detractors combined.

I Hate Abortion, But I Will Support It Financially

According to some folks, Rudy Giuliani demonstrated composure, courage and leadership after the islamic attacks on New York City, the Pentagon, and Pennsylvania on 9/11/01.

Other folks believe that Giuliani didn’t do anything other than bask in the lime light by saying all the right things and being seen in all the right places.

Prior to 9/11, he cleaned up Times Square, and other parts of the city. Some people referred to him as a tough, no-nonsense kind of guy. Others referred to him as a fascist because of the methods he employed.

No doubt you’ve also heard folks refer to Giuliani as “America’s Mayor”. Well, he’s neither my Mayor, nor my choice for President, and if you do a little research, I’m sure you won’t claim him either.

During the Republican Presidential candidates’ debate last week, Giuliani was asked what he thought about the possibility of a repeal of the 1973 Supreme Court decision on Roe v. Wade. Giuliani’s answer was;

"It would be okay to repeal. Or it would be okay also if a strict constructionist judge viewed it as precedent."

A wishy-washy answer that sounds rather John Kerryish.

Giuliani tried to clarify his answer by saying that he supports the recent ruling on the ban on partial birth abortion by the U.S. Supreme Court and the federal ban on using tax money to pay for abortions, in most cases. But then he said;

"Ultimately, I think when you come down to that choice, you have to respect a woman's right to make that choice differently than my conscience."

Giuliani’s presidential campaign website says that his stand on abortion is;

Rudy Giuliani supports reasonable restrictions on abortion such as parental notification with a judicial bypass and a ban on partial birth abortion – except when the life of the mother is at stake. He’s proud that adoptions increased 66% while abortions decreased over 16% in New York City when he was Mayor. But Rudy understands that this is a deeply personal moral dilemma, and people of good conscience can disagree respectfully. Ultimately he believes that it is a decision between a woman, her doctor, her family, and her God. (Emphasis added)

I guess Rudy either disagrees with or is ignorant of, the scientific and medical evidence that a fetus is a living human being, and an abortion kills it. This evidence alone takes abortion out of the realm of a “woman’s choice” and into the realm of ethics and morality. Sorry Rudy, there’s no getting around it; no matter how many votes your pro-abortion stance buys you.

If Giuliani really believes that abortion is “a decision between a woman, her doctor, her family, and her God.” Then why has he contributed money at least six times to Planned Parenthood, the top abortion provider and the most vocal and active abortion advocacy group in America?

These contributions make a liar out of Giuliani.

His web site also states that;

“He’s proud that adoptions increased 66% while abortions decreased over 16% in New York City when he was Mayor.”

Um, how is it that attributable to the Mayor?

Giuliani’s position on abortion is Bi-Polar. It just doesn’t make sense. He hates abortion, but he supports and tolerates it.

G.K. Chesterton said; “Tolerance is the virtue of a man without conviction.”

Sorry Rudy, you can’t have it both ways.

National Illegal Alien Day

, National Illegal Alien Day.

Illegal aliens and their supporters have forced Federal authorities into kowtowing to their whims and demands. And they did it without really lifting a finger.

How could this have been accomplished with so little effort on the part of illegals? The pro-illegal alien lobby simply had a pair of cards up their sleeve and played them.

The race card and the victim card.

On May 1, 2007, a pro-illegal alien demonstration took place in Los Angeles, California. Demonstrators moved into the street, police officers attempted to move them back onto the sidewalk.

Then the mob turned ugly.

Several demonstrators began to throw rocks and bottles at the police officers.

The police began to push the demonstrators back with their batons, and continued to be assaulted by the illegals and their supporters. The police began to use rubber bullets to subdue the very violent demonstrators.

Rubber bullets will hurt like hell when they hit you, but they are an effective, less than lethal method of controlling someone who has become violent. There may have been a few rare instances in the past where someone may have been injured severely by them, but for the most part, rubber bullets simply knock the fight out of you. Yes, they leave bruises and welts, but they’re certainly better than the lead alternative.

The news coverage I saw showed a lot of footage of the police pushing demonstrators with batons, and shirtless demonstrators showing their injuries from the rubber bullets. I saw very little footage of the demonstrators throwing rocks, bottles and assorted missiles at the police.

So of course, the news images made for a lot of drama, and painted the illegals and their supporters as victims, and the police as racist storm troopers.

When you throw a glass bottle or a rock at someone, it becomes a deadly weapon. It can kill, severely injure, or maim someone. When you throw it, your intent is inflict great bodily injury, or possibly to kill your target.

When you demonstrate that kind of potentially deadly intent, that kind of disregard for human safety, you become a dangerous threat. Some people would be inclined to respond to your threat with lethal force. The Los Angeles police did not respond with lethal force.

If those illegal aliens and their supporters had attacked police officers in Mexico City instead of Los Angeles, the bullets would not have been rubber; they probably would have been full metal jacketed lead.

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa cut short an official visit to Mexico and said to the Mexican news network Televisa; "I've decided to go back because I think it is necessary to make sure people know everything is in order and we will conduct a thorough and transparent investigation," he went on to say; "I was very disturbed by what I saw."

In one swoop, Villaraigosa publicly cut the legs out from under his police force and accused them of brutality. He didn’t say so in exactly those words, but his meaning was clear. He will support Mexican nationals who are here illegally, but not his own countrymen.

To rub salt in the wound, the Federal Bureau of Investigation announced on Thursday, May 3, that it is going to open a civil rights inquiry into the conduct of the police to determine "whether the civil rights of protesters taking part in the May 1st immigration rally were violated."

Random Thought: Why is the FBI so willing to investigate these police officers but always so reluctant to investigate radical mosques and radical muslims?

In American politics if a white voter supports a candidate for elected office simply because the candidate is also white, that voter is labeled a white racist.

Of course, calling someone a “white” racist is racist language in and of itself, but liberal whites and blacks seem to lack the ability to recognize that fact.

When a black voter supports a candidate simply because the candidate is black, they aren’t racist, they’re just “politically involved”. They are just showing “solidarity”

According to a New York Times article today, “the vast majority of black elected officials in New York” were expected to throw their support to U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton in her candidacy for President. The Times says this is no longer true due to the surge of popularity of Barack Obama, Democrat, U.S. Senator of Illinois and the only major black candidate.

The article also says that through a series of interviews, a “significant” number of those black officials may be backing off of their support of Clinton because of Obama’s strong grass roots support among black voters in their districts.

Clinton has demonstrated her fear of losing the black vote to Obama by pandering and sucking up to black leaders like Al Sharpton, (of course, Obama has shamelessly sucked up the street punk Sharpton as well.)

The Times also quoted Harlem Assemblyman Adam Clayton Powell IV who said;

“I would have supported Hillary if it were not for Barack Obama. He can identify with my African-American community in a way that no other candidate can.”

Just because Obama is black.

Mean People Suck

Seung-Hui Cho murdered these six people and 26 others because he didn’t feel good about himself.

People were mean to him.

They picked on him.

He was bullied by his classmates in high school.

They “mocked his shyness and the strange way he talked”. According to Chris Davids, Cho almost never talked to anyone and would ignore the attempts by others to talk to him. Davids is a former high school classmate of Cho’s in high school and college.

Davids attended Westfield High School in Chantilly, Virginia with Cho, and related in an interview how classmates in an English class laughed at Cho when he attempted to read aloud in class.

Too bad, too sad.

But I don’t believe that Cho needs to be painted as a victim of his own demons. Truth is, he was nothing but a homicidal pig of the lowest degree. In fact, calling him a pig is a grave insult to swine everywhere.

In September 2005, Cho was enrolled in Nikki Giovanni's creative writing class. Giovanni said that from the beginning, Cho began “building a wall between himself and the rest of the class.”

She said he wore sunglasses in the classroom and wore a maroon knit cap low over his forehead. She also had problems with his lack of participation in class discussion.

But after a few weeks into the semester, female students began to complain to Giovanni that Cho was taking pictures of their legs under their desks with his cell phone camera. Giovanni told him to stop doing it, but female students were already refusing to come to class.

Apparently the police have asked Giovanni not to disclose the content and nature of Cho’s writing but the little information she did divulge seemed to paint a very creepy portrait of Cho.

Giovanni sent a letter to the department head, Lucinda Roy, who removed Cho from Giovanni’s class.

Roy notified the office of student affairs, the dean's office, and campus police, but each entity said there was nothing they could do so long as Cho had made no overt threats against himself or others.

Ever notice that when it comes to action, police always say “there’s nothing that can be done until the person commits a crime”? Taking inappropriate pictures of people without their consent is an invasion of privacy, and in some jurisdictions, is a crime. I guess not in the academic ivory tower.

Roy began to tutor Cho personally, in fact, she coddled him. She helped him write poetry. Cho told Roy, after much prodding from Roy, that he was “lonely”. He told her he had no friends. Yet, his roommates have said that Cho rejected the friendship that they offered to him.

Both Roy and Giovanni immediately thought of Cho when they heard about the shootings and the description of the shooter.

It seems that a district court in Montgomery County, Virginia ruled that Cho presented "an imminent danger to self or others" in December 2005. That criterion justified a detention order as Cho was stalking two female schoolmates. Also a crime, in most areas, I guess just not in the academic ivory tower. It also justified a mental evaluation by a state doctor, and mandatory outpatient care.

The "Temporary Detention Order" resulted in an evaluation from a psychiatric hospital near Virginia Tech. Cho was escorted there by police after two women reported receiving threatening messages from Cho. Once again, another crime in most areas.

Special Justice Paul M. Barnett certified the finding, and ordered follow-up treatment on an outpatient basis for him.

ABC reports that on the form, a box is checked that Cho “presents an imminent danger to himself as a result of mental illness.” But a box immediately below that entry was not checked. A check in that box would indicate that the patient, Cho, presented an imminent danger to others as a result of mental illness.

The ABC news story also reports that one of the two women who complained that Cho was stalking her, declined to sign the complaint of charges against him. Police interviewed Cho for the first time and referred the case back to the school's internal disciplinary board.

ABC also reports that “it’s unclear whether any action was ever taken by the school, although Edward Spencer, a school vice president, said that it's not uncommon for a complaint never to reach a full hearing.”

Less than two weeks later, the second woman student, told authorities she received disturbing instant messages from Cho, and asked police to make sure there was "no further contact" from him.

The police spoke to Cho the next day regarding the second complaint. Then, police met with him a third time, "out of concern for Cho” they asked him to speak to a counselor.

The complaints against Cho came during the same timeframe that Lucinda Roy went to Virginia Tech administrators to express her concern about violent themes in Cho's writing.

A few months later, Cho murdered 32 people, and wounded several others because he didn’t feel good about himself.

Or is there more to it?

The snippets of tape that I have seen of Cho’s rants look eerily like the tapes that Hamas & al-Qaeda suicide bombers make of themselves prior to their “martyrdom”.

The name on the return address section on the Express Mail envelope that Cho sent his tape to NBC in is A. Ishmail.

Sounds a little islamic, doesn’t it?

Global War On Terror Is Just A “Colloquialism”

The militarytimes.com website reported today that;

“The House Armed Services Committee is banishing the global war on terror from the 2008 defense budget.”

According to the website, a memo issued by the congressional committee staff on March 27^th, the 2008 budget bill and its explanatory report will “set defense policy and should be specific about military operations and ‘avoid using colloquialisms.’”

The Global War On Terror, (GWOT) should not be used the memo says. The phrase was first coined by President George W. Bush shortly after the 9/11/01 attacks on America.

The memo would also ban the phrase the “long war,” a phrase that military officials started using last year as a way of acknowledging that military operations against terrorist states and organizations would last for years, probably decades.

Staff Director Erin Conaton provided examples of “acceptable phrases” such as; “the war in Iraq,” the “war in Afghanistan, “operations in the Horn of Africa” or “ongoing military operations throughout the world.”

A Democratic aide who asked not to be identified, said; “There was no political intent in doing this we were just trying to avoid catch phrases.”

So the Democrats want to replace what they call “catch phrases” with other catch phrases, but they’re not being political?

Change “Global War On Terror” into “Ongoing Military Operation Through Out The World?”

They don’t quite say the same thing. What’s missing from the Democrats language is the word Terror.

The Democrats are scared that Muslims are angry over the word Terror, and the dimwit party of Kennedy, Edwards, Clinton, Pelosi, and Osama Obama just want to appease the barbaric and primitive culture of Islam.

One definite effect of changing the name of the GWOT will be the invalidation of the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medals both of which were established in 2003 for military personnel involved, directly and indirectly, in GWOT military operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere in the world.

Republicans in congress can be just as timid in using the word terror or any of its variations. After all, Robert Mueller, Director of the F.B.I. refuses to say the words Islamic, and terrorist, in the same sentence.

Who’s Your Dufus, Baby?

To say that goofiness is a prerequisite to becoming a Hollywood celebrity would be stating the painfully obvious.

According to www.thisislondon.co.uk, John “Barbarino” Travolta asked his fans to "do their bit" to solve global warming when he appeared at the British premiere of his movie, Wild Hogs.

He apparently emphasized the importance of using “alternative methods of fuel”.

Of course, this was after flying at least 30,000 miles in the past year, producing about 800 tons of carbon emissions, or about 100 times the amount of the average British citizen.

It’s pretty common knowledge that John Revolta, I mean Travolta, is an airplane pilot, and apparently qualified to fly some pretty large aircraft. He’s also an airplane collector, he owns five in all. His collection includes a Boeing 707, three Gulfstream jets, and of course a Lear jet.

He keeps them parked at his private runway at his house in Florida.

A few years ago he piloted his personal Boeing 707 on a 13- city "Spirit of Friendship Tour" for Qantas Airlines, flying to Los Angeles, Auckland, Sydney, Singapore, Tokyo, London, Paris and New York and registering over 35,000 flying miles.

Travolta must have some intelligence, piloting a plane, especially a large jet like a 707 isn’t easy. But then he went on to say that global warming “is a very valid issue, I’m wondering if we need to think about other planets and dome cities.”

Dome cities on other planets?

Well, Travolta does follow the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard; I guess that explains why Travolta is such a dunce, albeit a qualified one.

Are You On 'The List'?

After a hard day’s work, you’re walking to the parking lot where your car is waiting for you. Or, you’re walking to the bus stop, or train station, or maybe you’re just walking.

You’re tired and hungry, you just want to get home, change out of your work clothes and get comfortable, have a bite to eat.

But suddenly, you’re confronted by someone who wants to do you harm. He might demand your money; maybe he wants your car. If you’re a woman, he may also want you. If you’re a man, he may still want you. Same sex sexual assaults happen frequently.

It doesn’t really matter what he wants, he’s now a threat to you, he might brandish a weapon, and he may not. He might imply that he has a weapon to use on you.

At this point, you must assume you’re in danger.

You are in danger of losing your life, or sustaining great bodily injury at the hands of this assailant.

At this point, the bad guy has already decided there will be an altercation. You don’t have a choice or a say in the matter. You will probably be assaulted at the very least. The only question is; how badly will you be injured?

His adrenalin is surging, he already has a plan of attack.

Do you have a plan of defense to meet and defeat his offensive plan?

How will you defend yourself?

Can you defend yourself?

Are you prepared to defend yourself?

Does your state government allow you to defend yourself using lethal force if necessary?

I don’t know about you, but I live in the real world, where reality can be pretty ugly and dangerous. There are indeed human predators out there just looking for an opportunity to rob, rape, or murder a victim. The police simply can’t be everywhere.

My state, Colorado, is a Shall Issue state. (At least for now.) That means that if you can pass the background check to purchase a firearm, and you apply for a Concealed Weapons Permit, the state shall issue the permit to you. After you’ve paid a $100 fee and a $50 background investigation fee.

The issuing authority in my state is the Sheriff of the county in which you reside, except for the People’s Democratic Republic of Denver. In Denver the Chief of Police is the issuing authority.

When Bill Owens was Governor of Colorado, he signed the legislative bill into law that made Colorado a Shall Issue state. Now, Owens isn’t exactly my favorite politician, but he did get a few things right, and this was one of them.

Immediately after the law took effect however, Larimer County Sheriff Jim Alderden began entering the names of legal permit holders into the Colorado Crime Information Center (CCIC) database. The CCIC “mission” is defined by the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI) as;

…a computerized information system established as a service to all criminal justice agencies. The mission is to provide and maintain accurate and timely documented criminal justice information in an effort to prevent crime and protect life and property by enabling the rapid exchange of valid, complete information among criminal justice agencies. (Emphasis added)

The CBI goes on to describe the CCIC as;

…an index of wanted and missing persons and property, to identify: people and property involved in crime; members of criminal gangs; stolen property; criminal suspects; criminal methods of operation; reported crime; reported arrests; and to share crime bulletins about major crimes in other states from which suspects may flee to Colorado. (Emphasis added)

Technically, the addition of permit holders into the CCIC is voluntary among Colorado’s county sheriffs. But now, the County Sheriffs of Colorado (CSOC) association is pushing a legislative bill to make the database permanent and mandatory.

The question is; why would a sheriff want to enter the names of LEGAL Concealed Weapons Permit holders into such a database?

Dudley Brown, Executive Director of Rocky Mountain Gun Owners answered the question;

“Essentially, their claim can be distilled down to keeping records on ‘persons of interest.’ What that means is that you are considered a dangerous person, just like a convicted rapist or murderer.”

Now, the official function of the CCIC database is obviously to track criminals and criminal activities. Colorado Concealed Weapons Permit holders are law-abiding citizens with no criminal history.

If you have a criminal record, you do not qualify for a permit. This is pretty straight forward.

Plain and simple.

There is no legal cause or purpose in creating and maintaining a database of permit holders that flags them as “Persons of Interest”. A permit holder is following and obeying the law. Because of the background check required, the permit holder has been vetted as a person who can be trusted with carrying a concealed handgun.

It’s pretty obvious that Law Enforcement folks, in general, are paranoid and anti-gun.

If you live in any of the Colorado counties listed, and hold a Concealed Weapons Permit, you may be already in the CCIC.

If you have a permit and believe you should not be listed among convicted rapists, thieves, and murderers, as a person of interest, then you need to contact your county sheriff and let them know. You should also show them how you feel about it the next time you vote.

The true danger is when liberty is nibbled away, for expedience, and by parts.

Who Was the Real St. Patrick?

There are many legends and traditions associated with St. Patrick's Day. Who was the real St. Patrick?

St. Patrick was not actually Irish. He was born around 373 A.D. in the British Isles near the modern city of Dumbarton in Scotland. His real name was Maewyn Succat. He took the name Patrick, or Patricius, meaning "well-born" in Latin, after he became a priest.

During Patrick's boyhood, the Roman Empire was near collapse and too weak to defend its holdings in distant lands. Britain became easy prey for raiders, including those who crossed the Irish sea from the land known as Hibernia or Ireland. When Patrick was sixteen, he was seized by raiders and carried off to Ireland.

Most of what is known about St. Patrick comes from his own Confession, written in his old age. In his Confession he wrote about his capture:

As a youth, nay, almost as a boy not able to speak, I was taken captive... I was like a stone lying in the deep mire; and He that is mighty came and in His mercy lifted me up, and raised me aloft... And therefore I ought to cry out aloud and so also render something to the Lord for His great benefits here and in eternity-- benefits which the mind of men is unable to appraise.

After Patrick was captured and taken to Ireland as a slave by an Irish chieftain named Niall, he was sold to another chieftain in northern Ireland. Much of Patrick's time was spent alone on the slopes of Slemish Mountain, tending his master's flocks of sheep. During the long, lonely hours in the fields and hills of Ireland, Patrick found comfort in praying. In his Confession he wrote:

...every day I had to tend sheep, and many times a day I prayed-- the love of God and His fear came to me more and more, and my faith was strengthened. And my spirit was moved so that in a single day I would say as many as a hundred prayers, and almost as many in the night, and this even when I was staying in the woods and on the mountains;...and I felt no harm, and there was no sloth in me--as now I see, because the spirit within me was fervent.

Six years passed slowly by. Then in a dream, Patrick heard a voice saying, "Thy ship is ready for thee." This was God's way, he felt, of telling him to run away.

That night he fled. Assured God was leading him, Patrick plunged through the bogs and scaled the mountains which separated him from the sea. He escaped Ireland by ship, but God would call him back years later. Patrick had escaped his boyhood enslavement in Ireland only to hear the call of God as a man to return. He was being called on, he felt, to convert the Irish to Christianity. In his Confession Patrick wrote:

I saw a man named Victoricus, coming from Ireland with countless letters. He gave me one of them, and I read the opening words which were: The voice of the Irish ... I thought at the same moment I heard their voice: ' We beg you, young man, come and walk among us once more.'

And I was quite broken in heart, and could read no further, and so I woke up. Thanks be to God, after many years the Lord gave to them according to their cry.

...they call me most unmistakably with words which I heard but could not understand, except that...He spoke thus: 'He that has laid down His life for thee, it is He that speaketh in thee;' and so I awoke full of joy.

When Patrick began his mission about 430 A.D., Ireland was gripped by paganism. Idolatry prevailed and the Irish knew nothing of Jesus. Patrick decided to go first to the pagan chieftain or king who had enslaved him as a boy. Rather than be put to shame by a former slave, the king set fire to his house and threw himself into the flames.

Patrick then set out for Tara, the seat of the high king of Ireland. When Patrick arrived, Tara was filled with many local kings and druids who were attending the pagan feast of Beltine which coincided with Easter that year. Patrick encamped in the full view of the castle to celebrate the Resurrection of Christ.

On the eve of the festival it was the custom, upon penalty of death, that the high king should light the first bonfire before any others in the land. Patrick, however, had kindled a great fire which gleamed through the darkness. Patrick was summoned before the king. The confrontation which followed is as amazing as Elijah's victory over the prophets of Baal.

Patrick stood and called, May God arise and His enemies be scattered. Darkness fell on the camp. Confused guards began to attack one another. The ground shook and the next day, Easter, a broken king knelt before God's servant. This confrontation between Patrick's God and demonic forces marked the beginning of a thirty-year mission to Ireland.

Patrick traveled the roads and forded the rivers of Ireland for 30 years to see men and women "reborn in God" and come to know the Christ he loved so much. Patrick wrote in his Confession:

We ought to fish well and diligently, as our Lord exhorts. Hence, we spread our nets so that a great multitude and throng might be caught for God.

By the time of his death, Patrick had baptized tens of thousands and established hundreds of churches throughout Ireland. Danger and hardship remained his constant companions. Twice he was imprisoned, but he was not discouraged. He wrote in his Confession:

Daily I expect murder, fraud, or captivity, but I fear none of these things because of the promises of heaven. I have cast myself into the hands of God Almighty who rules everywhere.

Within a century this once pagan land became predominately Christian, possessing such a vigorous faith that Ireland in turn sent missionaries to Scotland, England, Germany and Belgium.

As an old man, Patrick looked back in awe:

Those who never had knowledge of God but worshipped idols...have now become...sons of God.

The old saint died in his beloved Ireland on March 17th, 460 AD. The land that once enslaved him, had now been set free.

Barack “Osama” Obama told a group of Iowa Democrats that "Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people,” because of stalled peace efforts with

Israel

. Obama also told the Democrat party activists that he supports “relaxing restrictions” on aid to the Palestinian people.

He said there’s no doubt that the United States has a “huge strategic stake in bringing about a peaceful resolution to the conflict.”

But I remember when we, the United States, assisted in developing a resolution where the Palestinians would receive 95 per cent of what they asked for. Then, true to form, the Palestinians stabbed Israel in the back, and increased their terrorist attacks.

Fact is, until the Palestinians, and the rest of the Muslim world recognizes Israel as a sovereign nation deserving of security and freedom from terrorism, their woes will continue. The problem of course, is that Hamas is such a powerful political force in the Palestinian government.

Hamas controls the Palestinian Authority and doesn’t recognize Israel’s sovereignty nor does it recognize Israel’s right to exist. The United States and many other countries have declared Hamas to be a terrorist organization. The United States imposed restrictions on aid to Palestinians when they elected Hamas to power.

Sorry, Barack, but the Palestinians are the very ones who voted Hamas into power.

The old adage, “you get the government you deserve” rings true here, as it was the Palestinians themselves who elected the terrorists into power. Things can only start to get better for the Palestinians when they suck it up, and start demonstrating responsibility for themselves.

They can begin by building a real government.

Illegal Aliens And The Crimes They Commit

“An illegal alien from Mexico was sentenced in Maryland to a 10-year term for impregnating the 12-year-old daughter of a family with whom he was living, with 8 1/2 years suspended by the judge.”

So starts a news report from WorldNetDaily.com.

Twenty-one year old Noberto Vasquez-Fuentes, an illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced under a plea bargain that included a guilty plea to second-degree rape of a 12-year-old girl. He had sex with the girl on five occasions in September 2005.

So the illegal alien scum has to serve just 1 ½ years for raping a pre-teenage little girl.

Prosecutors said she became pregnant but did not give birth. They declined to say whether the girl had an abortion or miscarriage.

Vasquez-Fuentes attorney, Assistant Public Defender William Davis said "a cultural difference" may have kept his client from realizing his actions were wrong. "He did have feelings for her," Davis said

A cultural difference?

Does this mean that it’s okay to have sex with 12 year old girls in Mexico?

When the liberal American multi-culturalist pro-illegal alien advocates snootily tell us to “embrace the diversity” of the Mexican culture, is this what they mean?

Are we to embrace pedophilia?

Do we simply look the other way as Mexican illegals rape our children?

A previous WorldNetDaily.com report from May 31, 2006, stated that a researcher estimates there are about 240,000 illegal immigrant sex offenders in the United States who have had an average of four victims each.

The researcher is Deborah Schurman-Kauflin of the Violent Crimes Institute in Atlanta, Georgia. She analyzed 1,500 cases from January 1999 through April 2006. The cases included serial rapes, serial murders, child molestation and sexual homicides. All the crimes analyzed were committed by illegal aliens.

Schurman-Kauflin’s research showed that the sexual offenders were scattered in 36 different states, with the majority located in California, Texas, Arizona, New Jersey, New York and Florida. These six states have the highest numbers of illegal immigrants.

Schurman-Kauflin concluded that based on a figure of approximately 12 million illegals, and that since the illegal alien population has a higher ratio of males than the general population on average, sex offenders among illegals make up a higher percentage than sex offenders in the general American population.

She said she arrived at the conservative estimate of 240,000 offenders using public records showing that about 2 per cent of illegals apprehended are sex offenders.

Schurman-Kauflin said; "This translates to 93 sex offenders and 12 serial sexual offenders coming across U.S. borders illegally per day."

Let’s see that again, added together, this means that 105 sex offenders illegally come into our neighborhoods every day.

EVERY DAY!

Schurman-Kauflin also pointed out that the 1,500 sex offenders in her study had a total of 5,999 victims, and each sex offender averaged four victims.

"This places the estimate for victimization numbers around 960,000 for the 88 months examined in this study," she said.

She broke down the 1,500 cases as:

* 525, or 35 percent, were child molestations

* 358, or 24 percent, were rapes

* 617, or 41 percent, were sexual homicides and serial murders

She also said; "In those instances, the illegal immigrants typically gained access to the victims after having worked as a day laborer at or near the victims' homes. Victims ranged in age from 1 year old to 13 years old, with the average age being 6."

She also said that in addition to the victims being raped, 6 percent were also mutilated.

Schurman-Kauflin also reported that;

"The crime scenes were very bloody, expressing intense, angry perpetrator personalities. Specifically, most victims were blitzed, rendered incapable of fighting back, and then raped and murdered. The most common method of killing was bludgeoning, followed by stabbing."

She said she found it especially disturbing that in 22 percent of all sex crimes committed by illegal immigrants, victims with physical and mental disabilities were targeted.

But still, the pro-illegal alien advocates keep turning a blind eye to numbers and facts like the ones presented here by Schurman-Kauflin. And they keep repeating the mantra of how valuable the “undocumented workers” are to our economy.

And President George W. Bush is just as guilty as the Democrats.

So, where do these sex offenders come from?

According to the study, the highest number came from Mexico with El Salvador coming in second. The rest came from Brazil, China, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Jamaica, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico, Russia, and Vietnam.

The study also showed that nearly 63 per cent had been deported on other offenses prior to committing a sex crime. These offenses included Driving Under the Influence, assaults and drug related crimes. The offenders had spent an average of 3 years committing these crimes prior to the sex offenses.

Schurman-Kauflin concluded that illegal aliens gradually commit worse crimes and are continually released back into society or deported. "Those who were deported simply returned illegally again," she said.

She pointed out that only 2 percent of the offenders in the study had no history of criminal behavior, beyond crossing the border illegally.

"There is a clear pattern of criminal escalation," she said.

An Armed Society Is A Polite Society

An Associated Press story out of Harrison Township, Michigan, reports that a woman driving in rush hour traffic got fed up with other drivers tailgating her. When a man in a pickup truck got too close, she changed lanes and fired one round from a 9 mm, aiming at the tires of the truck. It appears that the woman missed her target, no one was injured.

The driver of the pickup truck then followed her and flagged down a deputy, who stopped and arrested her. I wonder if the jackass who followed her too close will think twice about doing it again. Nah, probably not.

"She said she was tired of people tailgating her," Macomb County Sheriff Mark Hackel said.

The woman was charged with assault with a deadly weapon, discharge of a firearm from a vehicle and use of a firearm during a felony, and held on $50,000 bond.

Now, I know that we can’t go around shooting at every dumb ass driver who follows too closely, but I do feel a little empathy for the woman.

Next time, she ought to use a .45 caliber ACP. A nine millimeter is a stinger of a round, but a .45 ACP is some serious whoop ass.

An armed society is a polite society.

Homosexual Fascism On The March

The Washington Defense of Marriage Alliance (WA-DOMA) has filed an initiative that would require married heterosexual couples to have kids within three years or their marriage would be annulled. This group is an extremist organization and proponent of homosexual marriage and homosexual rights.

In a nutshell, the initiative, if passed, would force married couples to prove they can have children in order to get a marriage license, and if they do not produce children within three years, their marriage would be subject to mandatory annulment.

The organizer of WA-DOMA, Gregory Gadow, seems to be a very queer man. He organized this initiative as a challenge to the Washington Supreme Court’s ruling on Andersen v. King County. The July 2006 court decision, declared that a “legitimate state interest” allows the State Legislature to limit marriage to those couples able to have and raise children together. This decision upheld the State’s ban on homosexual marriage.

Gadow apparently took exception to the decision.

In a printed statement he said;

"For many years, social conservatives have claimed that marriage exists solely for the purpose of procreation. The time has come for these conservatives to be dosed with their own medicine.
If same-sex couples should be barred from marriage because they can not have children together, it follows that all couples who cannot or will not have children together should equally be barred from marriage."

WA-DOMA will have to gather more than 224,000 signatures by July 6 to put the initiative on the November ballot. As liberal as the State of Washington is, or at least, the Seattle metro area, they just might get the signatures required, but hopefully it won’t pass.

Of course, this initiative attempt is yet another attack on traditional marriage. In the general election of 2004, bans on homosexual marriage succeeded at the polls nation-wide. Just as ballot initiatives legalizing homosexual marriage failed nation-wide.

Homosexual activists just won't or can't accept the fact that the great majority of Americans simply will not legalize homosexual marriage at the ballot box.

Tell It Like It Is Tony

I’ve always liked Tony Dungy, Head Coach of the Indianapolis Colts. Right now I like him a whole lot more and it has nothing to do with winning Super Bowl XLI.

When Jim Nantz of CBS talked to Dungy immediately after the game, Nantz said;

Nantz: “This is one of those moments, Tony, where there is also social significance in this victory, and to have your hands on the Vince Lombardi Trophy. Tell me what this means to you right now.”

Tony Dungy’s response was beautiful. He answered;

“I'll tell you what. I'm proud to be representing African-American coaches, to be the first African-American to win this. It means an awful lot to our country. But again, more than anything, I've said it before, Lovie Smith and I, not only the first two African-Americans, but Christian coaches showing that you can win doing it the Lord's way. And we're more proud of that. (Emphasis added)

According to a worldnetdaily.com news report, “the Associated Press reported Dungy's comments about God in stories it moved on its wire service, but the Bloomberg News Service only published the portion regarding African-Americans, and edited out the mention of Christian coaches.”

So, of course the Bloomberg News Service decided to go the Politically Correct route and didn't bother to mention that Tony Dungy is a devout Christian and gives God the credit and glory.

I wonder if Bloomberg would have mentioned Dungy’s religion and gratitude if he were Muslim.

Does It Take A State Legislature To Raise Your Daughter?

Colorado Senate Bill 07-080, (SB 80) passed out of Committee on a party line vote of 5-4 with Democrats in support and Republicans in opposition. Ostensibly, the bill is aimed at preventing Cervical Cancer. But the if the bill becomes law, it would REQUIRE girls between the ages of 11 and 12 to receive a vaccination against Human Papillomavirus (HPV) before being admitted to any school in Colorado. HPV has been linked to cervical cancer.

The Rocky Mountain Family Council (rmfc.org) strongly opposes this bill.

A RMFC legislative alert states that; “While some will argue that this is a common-sense public health policy, we see several problems. First, this is a new vaccine and the supporting science is new as well. It presumes that every girl is sexually active and at risk for this sexually transmitted disease (STD). There is no vaccine for other STDs (Herpes, Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, etc.) and the HPV vaccine will lead to a false sense of security among young women. The best prevention of cervical cancer is abstinence until marriage.

Second, the maker of this vaccine, Merck Pharmaceuticals, is pushing similar legislation nationwide. When legislation which will affect young girls is driven by big drug company profits—it’s wrong. The Rocky Mountain News reports that the three-shot vaccine regimen per girl costs approximately $350.”

The same Rocky Mountain News story reports that Merck Pharmaceuticals is pushing similar legislation across the nation and stands to make $4 billion in sales.

Under Senate Bill 80, about 30,000 middle-school girls in Colorado would be vaccinated. Thirty thousand girls at $350 each amounts to $10,500,000 in Colorado alone. Pretty good deal for Merck.

The bill is sponsored by State Senator Suzanne Williams, Democrat of Aurora, Colorado and State Representative Mike May, Republican of Parker, Colorado.

Senator Williams told the Rocky Mountain News that she learned of the vaccine through her membership in Women in Government, a national advocacy group composed of female lawmakers. The Associated Press reported that Merck has funneled money through Women in Government to promote the vaccine.

The Rocky Mountain News story also reports that; “an official from Merck's vaccine division sits on the Women in Government's Business Council, and that sponsors of many of the vaccine bills nationwide are members of Women in Government.”

The News also said State Senator Suzanne Williams downplayed the connection, saying that by next year other companies are expected to have cervical cancer vaccines on the market.

She also claims that she has never taken a contribution from the drug company.

Gun Rights In Colorado

There are three Colorado legislative bills coming up next week for Committee Hearings that, if passed, will impact the rights of Coloradoans who hold Concealed Weapons Permits.

Two of the laws, if enacted, will ADVERSELY affect the rights of legal Concealed Weapons Permit holders.

Reciprocity

In Colorado, County Sheriffs are the issuing entities for Concealed Weapons Permits.

However, many Sheriffs in Colorado strongly disagree with the Second Amendment and believe that private citizens shouldn’t have the right to carry a firearm for self-defense. And so they make it as difficult as possible for you to actually obtain a Concealed Weapons Permit.

The Sheriffs who hold this extreme point of view may not necessarily do anything illegal to prevent you from applying for the permit, but they make it quite uncomfortable and inconvenient. One answer to this obstinate resistance is utilizing Colorado’s Reciprocity law.

Current Colorado law (CRS 18-12-213) states that Colorado will recognize a valid permit issued in another state IF the permittee is 21 yrs of age or older AND the other state recognizes Colorado permits as valid in their state.

Senate Bill 07-034, if signed into law, Colorado residents would be barred from using concealed carry permits issued in other states.

Question: If you’ve passed a background check that includes the National Crime Information Center (N.C.I.C.), in another state and you’re issued a Concealed Weapons Permit from that state, why is that not good enough for Colorado?

Answer: The liberal State Legislators now in office, both Democrat and Republican, don’t like guns and they don’t want you to be able to carry one legally. They will do everything they can to ensure that you don’t.

So if you’re prevented from using a legal Concealed Weapons Permit from another state, you will be at the mercy of the extremist Sheriffs I mentioned above. And being the fascists that they are, they will want to keep track of anyone who has the audacity to legally carry a firearm in order to defend themselves adequately.

Orwellian Database

Enter House Bill 07-1174. This bill would allow Colorado County Sheriffs to enter a LEGAL Concealed Weapons Permit holder into the Colorado Crime Information Center, or, C.C.I.C. In effect, it will create a permanent database of LEGAL Concealed Weapons Permit holders so that any law enforcement officer or entity can have access to your information. LEGAL Permit holders will be listed in the same database as CRIMINALS.

If this bill becomes law, how do you think you’ll be treated when and if you’re pulled over for a traffic stop? After reading your name in the C.C.I.C. the police officer will probably pull you out of the car and take you down. Hard. Or with a police officer pointing his own weapon at you, you may be ordered to step out of your car and lay on the ground face down. You know, assume the position.

And yet you haven’t done anything wrong or illegal. But you’re listed in the criminal database based solely on the fact that you are LEGALLY exercising your 2^nd Amendment rights.

One bill worthy of support is; SB 07-069

Senate Bill 07-069 prohibits law enforcement agencies from maintaining a statewide concealed handgun permit database.

Prohibiting law enforcement officials from listing you in this database will protect you from being abused or harassed by over-zealous police officers.

It’s a sad but true fact that MANY law enforcement officers do not believe in your right to legally carry a firearm.

Question: Why do you need to carry a gun? Isn’t it up to law enforcement authorities to protect you from assault or murder?

Answer: No. Police are not legally obligated to protect you or defend you. Their legal obligation is to the PUBLIC AT LARGE. Of course, many police officers WILL defend you or protect you, but they have no obligation to do so.

Chances are that at sometime in your life, you or your family will be confronted with physical assault that may result in great bodily harm or death. When that happens you have just a few precious seconds to react. What will you do? If you’re a responsible, trained gun owner who carries a firearm legally, you can protect yourself and your loved ones. When this type of thing happens, you don’t have the time or opportunity to dial 911. It’s up to you to put your training to use.

Heinrich Himmler, Reichsführer of the Nazi SS and Gestapo, once said; "Germans who wish to use firearms should join the SS or the SA -- ordinary citizens don't need guns, as their having guns doesn't serve the state." (Emphasis added.)

Conversion, Dhimmitude, Or Death

While perusing the news this morning I read this article by Aaron Klein of WorldNetDaily.com titled Jews Flee Homes After Muslim Death Threats.

The story goes on to report that about 45 Yemeni Jews left their village in Sa'ada County in Yemen after a local Jewish leader was warned that if Jews didn’t leave within ten days, they were liable to be abducted, and / or killed. Their possessions would be subjected to looting and theft.

Four masked Muslims approached Dawoud Yousuf Mousa and delivered a letter to him warning that the Jewish community had been under Islamic surveillance. The letter contained warnings and threats, and read in part;

"After accurate surveillance over the Jews residing in Al Haid, it has become clear to us that they were doing things which serve mainly global Zionism, which seeks to corrupt the people and distance them from their principles, their values, their morals, and their religion. Islam calls upon us to fight against the disseminators of decay,"

The masked Muslims told Mousa that if the Jews didn’t leave within ten days; "The Jewish community would bear the consequences."

The news story also referred to a second warning letter to the Jewish community stating that; "whoever remains at his home, will be killed or his children will be taken away."

Yemeni Jews have lived in Sa'ada for generations so it’s not as if there was a sudden influx causing a burden on the local population. The Jews are part of the local population.

The uprooted Jewish folks are currently staying at a hotel in Sa'ada. The Yemeni Jews say the government has refused to offer any assistance. No surprise there. They also reported that Muslim intimidation of Jews has been going on for a long time. Still no surprise.

The Deputy Governor of Sadaa, Salem Al Wehayshi, reportedly said the Jews are being asked to “go home.”

"Yes, they received threats from Al Houthi supporters. They are now here in the hotel but I can assure you that the problem will be solved today, and they will return to their villages," Wehayshi said.

And of course, the Jewish Yemenis have to pay a “protection” tax, called the jizya, simply because they are Jewish. Again, no surprise.

This is dhimmitude in action.

The word "dhimmitude" as a historical concept, was coined by Bat Ye'or in 1983 to describe the legal and social conditions of Jews and Christians subjected to Islamic rule. The word "dhimmitude" comes from dhimmi, an Arabic word meaning "protected". Dhimmi was the name applied by the Arab-Muslim conquerors to indigenous non-Muslim populations who surrendered by a treaty (dhimma) to Muslim domination. Islamic conquests expanded over vast territories in Africa, Europe and Asia, for over a millennium (638-1683). The Muslim empire incorporated numerous varied peoples which had their own religion, culture, language and civilization. For centuries, these indigenous, pre-Islamic peoples constituted the great majority of the population of the Islamic lands. Although these populations differed, they were ruled by the same type of laws, based on the shari'a.

This similarity, which includes also regional variations, has created a uniform civilization developed throughout the centuries by all non-Muslim indigenous people, who were vanquished by a jihad-war and governed by shari'a law. It is this civilization which is called dhimmitude. It is characterized by the different strategies developed by each dhimmi group to survive as non-Muslim entity in their Islamized countries. Dhimmitude is not exclusively concerned with Muslim history and civilization. Rather it investigates the history of those non-Muslim peoples conquered and colonized by jihad.

Dhimmitude encompasses the relationship of Muslims and non-Muslims at the theological, social, political and economical levels. It also incorporates the relationship between the numerous ethno-religious dhimmi groups and the type of mentality that they have developed out of their particular historical condition which lasted for centuries, even in some Muslim countries, till today.

Dhimmitude is an entire integrated system, based on Islamic theology. It cannot be judged from the circumstantial position of any one community, at a given time and in a given place. Dhimmitude must be appraised according to its laws and customs, irrespectively of circumstances and political contingencies.
